He was always a projection at Left Tackle and the majority of his snaps were on the right side. Not saying he cannot play the left side, but allow him to develop on his more comfortable side, then make the switch.
He said he was more comfortable on the left side.

MM is a good coach but the Cowboys should have been better prepared for playoff loses to San Francisco in 2021 and the Green Bay loss last season. It’s time for a change. I just wonder if any coach can really deal with the Circus atmosphere in Dallas. One of my favorite Cowboys team, 2016 Cowboys with Zeke and Dak, was a solid up and coming team that was thrust into the spotlight. Every time I rewatch that loss to the Packers, I feel the Cowboys fell victim to the pressure of America’s team.
Yea we probably could’ve been better prepared… it last years defense was fraudulent.

I think it was more a lack of talent issue than preparation issue.

I think I would too…

Ideally you don’t spend so many 1st rounder resources on the OL but in a limited draft we have to hit and it gets us out of Steeles contract.
You know me, big advocate of having a strong OL. Lions perhaps have the best line in football, where they were allowed to take a high 1st rd back and it made sense.

The first order for the Cowboys to get better on offense is to improve the running game. We need to upgrade the scheme, running backs, and blocking. One of the big issues is Dak is not a running threat anymore so we need a special ball carrier. Dak is an excellent play action quarterback. The Cowboys need to upgrade the roster at several positions and it’s gonna take free agency, trades, draft, and time.
Fix the scheme, overhaul the running back positional group and add another high level receiver that can beat single coverage.

Don’t get me wrong San Francisco had more talent than the Cowboys but MM said himself the team was nervous. The Dak/CeeDee stuff against the Packers was a bad look as well. The Packers seemed to be ready for us and I believe that is from their organization understanding MM philosophy.

Way to much to overcome without using free agency.
My hope is, they have always prioritized the wr position and will either sign a veteran fa or make a trade for one. Just look at their history: Galloway, Roy, TO, Cooper, etc.

I think the Cowboys will offer a contract to Diggs. As much as they need a receiver with juice they don’t use their other receivers enough to invest big money or a high draft pick in a stud receiver. I see some YouTubers want us to go back to Cooper, Gallup, and the old Green Bay wide receiver days when we had 3 1,000 yard receivers. That team finished 8-8. We gotta get our running game and defense back at the top again if we want to challenge the Eagles and the NFC North.

Sure, it’s a combination of both.

Give me more talent and a better OC and I think Mike manages better in the playoffs.

To be fair that’s arguably the best our offense has ever looked when all 3 were healthy…but they weren’t all year and the OL completely broke down towards the end of year and was terrible against SF in that playoff lost.

The OL lost us that 1st SF game IMO.

Yeah but that game the Cowboys could have won and they did not look prepared offensively or defensively at the beginning. Just seems like a common theme for MM’s Cowboys teams.

Jerry believes he has given MM plenty of talent. He will let him play out his contract like Garrett and move on.
