Offseason prediction/wish list

I'm already over talking about blown calls and last game. It's our offseason now.

What are your predictions/hopes for offseason? Coaching as well as players. I think we need at least one positive thread today lol

1. If Garrett stays then linehan and marinelli better stay or we will see the same old same old

2. At least 4-5 new IMPACT starters on D (2 DL, FS, LB , CB ) via FA and draft

3. Resign Dez to good but not top 5 WR deal

4. Draft well, no stupid trade ups

That would be a good start

We draft a DL or DB and a OL in first two rounds of draft
Next season will be harder than this one,,,,many fans get depressed, quit eating, talk of suicide after a slow start to season.

My two predictions this offseason cause Dez is going nowhere.

Its starts with the DC spot. We dont know what we really need on defense until we know who is going to be coaching.

We need another edge rusher no matter who we hire. What type depends on the coach. We may also need a good 1 Tech depending on who coaches the defense

Do you consider Mincey an impact starter this year? Does Sean Lee count as one next year? Does resigning Durant (or McClain, Carter) count?

4-5 on D seems optimistic unless we're being very generous with the definition of what impact means. We're going to need to resolve some stuff on offense still. I agree with the sentiment though.

Coaching staff remains intact.
Draft D lineman in the first round.
Bring back Ro
Lee plays a regular season series
Draft a DB in round 2 or 3.
Dez gets signed
Make sure Murray, AP, Randle, or Williams are on the team.
Let Lawrence have an uneventful offseason, I like waht I saw from him more and more each game and think he's going to be effective

If this team is healthy(this doens't count Lee, he's icing on the cake...constantly injured icing) they are a very legit NFC title contender.

I am not trusting Lee to stay healthy,we need to approach the FA and draft assuming he is going to get hurt or never play again.

I go all in on Defensive Linemen in rounds 1 & 2. Offensive Tackle in the 3rd and the remaining rounds BPA. Of course it will have a lot to do with FA, the status of Gardner, etc., but we were very close this year. I feel if we could have added more pressure on the QB it would have been us moving on to Seattle instead. Damn the call. We need to improve the pass rush. I know every year it's "something". But this is our biggest area of need at the moment. We've come a long way in addressing our needs each year and with another smart draft that's just going to bring us one step closer.

2. Let Marinelli walk if he wants out, bring in Schwartz
3. Resign Dez, Carter, Durant, Free and Murray if he wants a Reasonable deal.
4. Cut Carr and Melton
5. Contact Suh about joining the team, Any QB we faced had way to much time to pick our Defense apart.
6. Bring in Adrian or Ingram if Murray walks.
7. Test the waters on Free Agent CBs

Draft -
1st - Safety or CB or DL
2nd - Possible QB or Best available
3rd - Best Available
And so on...

Romo really scares me for next year on account of his broken back. Only so many more Training Camps and beating she can take before he starts to hurt this team.

Mincey is not an impact starter by any stretch. We need a starting de and a starting DT that are difference makers. Crawford is the only player on our DL and we have no idea about Lawrence

Lee and McClain and durant all have had significant injuries and carter is way over-rated. Bring back the top 3 but we need 1 starter in FA or draft at LB

Starting FS is an absolute need, church and Wilcox are like the blind leading the blind

Restructure Carr downward but keep him

Sign a pass rushing DE and centerfielder FS in free agency

Draft a pass rushing DE and CB in the first three rounds of the draft

And that is all you need.

I think it will be a big mistake to go into next season with both Barry Church and Wilcox both starting.

Marinelli leaves. They stick with a 4-3. Jerry feeling the team is close signs a DL, safety and CB in FA. Jerry explores bringing in both JFB and Josh Gordon, he thinks David Wells can do miracles. Strong consideration is given to drafting Brett Hundley. Guys who have played their last game in Dallas are Murray, R McClain and Doug Free. Linehan gets other offers but stays. Not sure about McClay. Think you see at least one shiny new toy offense.

Bruce Carter is gone. Those INT stats will inflate his value. Hitchens will be starting at one LB spot for sure.
