WR Brice Butler- Resign
G Jonathan Cooper- Resign
DT Terrell McClain- Resign
S Barry Church- Resign
David Irving- Try to work out a long term deal, but obviously back next year

Free Agent Signings

Logan Ryan CB- Both Carr and Mo can't be relied on next year or in the future. Ryan represents an improvement next year and should be a reliable fixture in the D into the future. Probably falls into the 2nd tier of CB free agents. Will get a pretty big contract, but shouldn't break the bank.

Demarcus Ware DE- Yup, it makes sense for both parties. Jerry gets his original war daddy back without breaking the budget. We only need Demarcus to do 1 thing for 15-20 snaps a game. Can he do that effectively and stay healthy? Who knows...

Marquise Goodwin WR- No better place to get speed than an Olympic sprinter. Goodwin can take the top off of a defense as the 4th WR and can return kicks.

Case Keenum QB- I don't trust Moore as the only backup.

Trade
Not going to predict the team but I'll say Romo is traded for a 2017 3rd and a conditional 2018 pick.

Surprise June 1st Cut
Tyrone Crawford

Good try but hate the fact that you really haven't upgraded the 2 most critically deficient areas on defense, the DL and safety

At this point Jaylon is a prayer and Ware is a roll of the dice and a poor one at that

The DL needs 2 new starters
Need a new starting caliber safety

You and and I can wish for 2 new starters on the D line all we want....but it's highly unlikely. We have too many DL under contract as is. We are actually fine at every spot, but RDE in my opinion. Could we use upgrades? Of course, every team can, but we have plenty of depth and talent everywhere besides RDE.

Cutting TCrawford is stupid

Going to have to get out of that contract sooner or later...if you want upgrades and new blood along the d line someone already under contract is going to have to go. It's simple math. Either that or we pretty much roll with the same d line as last year. Your choice.

Looks good but I think we can do better than Kellen Moore.Cooper probably is gone as he will not get to start here.

TCrawford is our best DL.....even better than Collins and Irving and DLawrence

Cutting him is stupid.... we need to add talent not throw it away

Oh ok...we'll agree to disagree on that. A lot.

The correlation between Crawford's contract and his production don't add up. $10M cap hit the next 2 seasons he needs to have 10+ sacks type production or at least be a consistent force in the middle. He's not those things at all. The $3.1M dead $ the next 2 years isn't bad and saves $7.2M in cap savings right away post June 1st. Like I said earlier, from a sheer #'s standpoint someone is going to have to go if we want to make significant improvements on the D line. Crawford, Irving, Tapper, Lawrence, Collins, Mayowa, Thornton...that's 7 guys already under contract without resigning or replacing McClain. We only dress 8 d lineman most games. Crawford seems like the most likely to go in my opinion.

Nope. Still don't agree. Collins is the starting 3 tech for a reason. And as a DE Crawford looked very ordinary. If healthy Lawrence makes a much better LDE and so does Irving. We don't need 2 SDE/3tech backups and Irving costs 1/10 of the price. If we add a starting RDE like everyone expects we will have Lawrence, Irving and Tapper at LDE not counting Crawford. Ware(or other FA)/Benny/Rookie at RDE. There's really no need for Crawford...and no, I'm not going to ignore what he's getting paid.

You can SPECULATE all you want but Collins, Irving and Lawrence didn't out produce Crawford last year.......your guess is that they will this year but cutting Crawford to prove that point is stupid

So you're saying Collins didn't take his job as the starting 3 tech?

Nope......TCrawford moved outside to man the LDE when DLaw and RGregory got suspended

And Collins never outplayed him anyways......Collins flashed some talent but lets pump the brakes...... he had nowhere near the pressures and hurries TCrawford had

I do like some of the additions. But (you knew it was coming).........

Would rather keep TWill over Butler.

Not crazy about cutting Crawford.

It looks thin at CB and I don't see much upgrade at S.

Love the FA plan and think you've mostly nailed that part.

Ty Craw probably can't be cut. --he has injury protection and likely wouldn't pass a physical so we'd eat some/most of his base anyways.
Like with Sean Lee previously DAL likely has to hope he gets healthy and plays up to potential because moving on not realistic.

Not a fan of the draft. This is a deep draft for DL but they'll still be mostly gone by end of round 3.
No way I'm going LB with LB corps in R1 we have in place considering what's available.
