Spencer has been playing well all year, despite the heat he's taken.

For sure! That's my point exactly. He's been playing well all year but was *just* missing out on sacks. He's turned the corner - literally - the last few weeks, but he's been bringing all sorts of pressure all year.

I have been calling for Ogletree to get playing time even before game 1. He showed me something the way he played in preseason.

Some people here laughed.

I said the same thing about Ball. He can play. I'd rather see Ball at CB than Newman, especially on 3rd downs.

And I wish Octavien would get some playing time. He showed some potential in the preseason. I know he'd be better than Carpenter.

You truely are a ninja. It is like everything slows down for you while it all rushes by us.

Ogletree was on the field a few times tonight that I saw. One specific play in watching the replay, he had his man beat pretty well, but Romo checked it down to the shallow route.

That might be one reason people laughed.

I've said it before, but Otree is the closest thing to the next Terry Glenn that we have

the dude is very smooth and very quick, not quite the burst, but still pretty fluid out there

No kiddin, that catch was beautiful. He looks so smooth out there, for a minute I actually thought it was Glenn.

Down the stretch, I think we have to rely on O-tree and Phillips, Roy and Marty are killing us with the drops

I've been wanting more Otree all year. I think he's going to be a very good player, and he's done well with the few chances he's been given.

Hype: Bennett
Production: Phillips

Hype: Roy
Production: Otree.

I'll take production 100 times out of 100 times over hype.

I'm a big fan of Bennett but Phillips had himself one heck of a game.

Something that won't show up on the stats: On the 2nd Barber TD drive, 3rd QTR, 14:03, Phillips comes back to push the pass rusher off enough to give Romo a lane to step up and make a 1st down pass to Austin. Great pass protection.

Bennett will be a better receiver than Phillips. Phillips will be the better blocker.. Having them both behind Jason Witten is a great thing for this team TE depth.

Hobbout those Virginia boys!

I've been saying since camp that Phillips is a much better athlete and receiver than he gets credit for being.

Tree made an awesome catch, but the route he ran was equally impressive.

Oh yeah that's right! Totally forgot about that.

And who coached those two boys in Virginia?

A Parcells' deciple.... Al Groh!

They look pretty prepared for the NFL at such a young age (unlike guys like Austin who needed more time to develop). That is no knock on Miles either.
