If Roy cant play this Sunday Ogletree will more than likely get activated for the game. Whats been missing in this talk is his importance in the game also on special teams. Miles is gonna get moved up to the starting spot opposite of Crayton and since Felix has been hurt Miles has been our main KO returner. With Austin starting it might be to much to have him doubling down as KO returner. I know Scrandrick can return KOs and did for us last year a few times but why even risk him out there for that spot when Ogletree showed in the preseason he is more than capable of returning kicks. He average like around 28yds on his returns in the preseason and looked pretty good in my opinion doing it.

I would be excited to see him on the field. He runs nice routes, has good speed and is real fluid receiver. Heck, give em a shot, what else to you have to lose?

This team needs a spark to light the fire right now. KO just might be the guy to do it. At least give the man a shot.

Do you really think by giving up some plays, that he will blow the game for us?

Our 4th receiver doesn't usually see the field much. That's why it was so awkward seeing Hurd so involved at such a critical time last week. The 4th guy is an afterthought in this offense, so Ogletree won't get many chances. I hope he makes the most of the ones he does get.

If he's active, I hope he gets some opportunities. I actually think he could do something with his chances.

He could as a kick returner and if he's able to make something happen returning kicks maybe it'll make the coaches think about giving the kid some WR reps

Definitely. We could use someone to step up as kick returner now that Miles and Felix (when he returns) are more involved in the offense. I would love to know if KO is the real deal at receiver too.

I could be wrong, but the way the lineups are configured, Hurd is the backup to Williams and Austin is the backup to Crayton. So when Williams went out, Hurd became the #1 option on most routes. But like I said, I could be wrong about this.

I thought that Austin was so supposed to start opposite Crayton tomorrow, which would make Austin Williams' backup, but I'm not sure about that either.

Dallascowboys.com has the roster listed as such:

LWR: Roy Williams, Sam Hurd, Kevin Ogletree
RWR: Patrick Crayton, Miles Austin

But if Austin is starting in place of Williams, then I don't know how accurate that depth chart is.

Nate Newton has been saying all along that we need to get this kid on the field. He said he is hungry and can play.

He had a better preseason then all of our WR's. When he played in the SF game he was going up against Nate Clements who is having a great year.

I really don't get our coaching staff sometimes. The young and hungry guys don't ever get to see the field. I'm not saying he's going to come in and light it up, but this game is the perfect opportunity. KC is horrible, we need a spark, Roy is out, etc.

The Butler's, Tree's, Octaviens, etc. need more playing time period.

When someone makes a play like Butler they just get stuck back on the bench.

I like Ogletree alot, think he's eventually gonna be a nice player here for us.

That said, he can run the best routes ever and have the best hands of anybody here, but if/when he gets open the QB has to throw a good pass (or see him). Right now, thats the biggest issue here.
