Didn't see the game, but from the highlights Hall gave up at least two long TDs today.

Yeah they were pretty bad. One he just got beat deep bad. The other he made a horrible play on a jump ball hail mary in the endzone.

But Hall runs his mouth so ESPN reports on his greatness.

Champ too, who gets burned a lot.

You could start this thread every week.

Hall is one of the worst cover corners in the NFL.

Now that's just dumb.

He's certainly not anywhere near as good as his mouth suggests, but he's not one of the worst in the league. He really IS a pretty good CB, just not as good as he (and his moronic Falcons fans) think.

In his coverage? This guy gets beat like the opposition owns him EVERY SINGLE week. This is not extreme hyperbole. He's not as good a cover corner as anyone on our team. Maybe Jacques Reeves, but I doubt it. He's got a little flash - a little. He'll play well in zone and if the QB overthrows it, it's his. But as a coverage corner? He's awful.

Either you're being an extreme homer, or you're just ignorant.

He's not "awful" in man coverage. Again, not as good as he thinks, but still good (not great).

Then you don't watch him, and you'd be the ignorant one. Sorry, that's the way it is. He's dreadful in man coverage. Put on a tape of highlights against the Falcons. And prepare to watch a string of 40+ yard pass plays with Hall trailing in coverage.

I have no idea if he gets beat weekly, but he has been beat in every single game I can remember watching him play.

Some thoughts from Falcon fans on the miraculous Hall

I was so digusted after that play, and I think Hall owes everyone on defense an apology for that.

for that play and his play all year. His "jerk off" motion at the end of the few plays he does make, is even more classless. I hope they trade him

if the man just knocked the ball down it would have helped, instead of moments of Grandeur, and there is a column for passes defensed. He is overated

Now maybe it's Donatell and his pathetic zone schemes, or maybe it's something else - but this guy is getting burned all the time.

According to KC Joyner's "Scientific Football," Hall ranked as the 39th CB in the league in 2005.

Interesting point.

You managed to change my viewpoint that has been formed by watching Hall actually....you know, play football....with a few lines of weak mockery. Brilliant!

In direct coverage (man 2 man), Hall gave up a 56% completion percentage. That ranked 55th in the league in 2005. He may not be the worst in man to man coverage, but there aren't too many below him.

On the first TD, did anyone think Hall did a pretty cheap move by not only tackling Henderson so late, but it was a horse-collar based on the new rule and description of it. If he would have been thrown out he deserved it.

Anyone know what the call was? Late hit or horse-collar in addition to the late hit.

The problem is if you don't watch a Falcons game you'd think he was the best corner in the league, by all the man love ESPN and Falcon fans give him. Whenever he does something good you'll see it on every ESPN channel and NFL network about 3 times each, and you'll see those sports casters practically wet themselves over the guy. He's a good player, just not as good as he thinks he is {like somebody already said}.

IIRC, that was called a horsecollar, since he got his hand in the pads. He's tired of getting torched. He needed to lash out. :laugh2:

Yeah it was pretty cheap, the whole Falcon team is starting to act like a bunch of classless losers. It's sad because I used to kinda like them, shame a class act like Dunn is on that team.
