If Houston ends up with the #1 pick. Which they probably will.

Do they trade it, or do they pick Matt Lienhert (sp?) and dump Carr when his contract s up, or trade him?

that happens, I think Houston will trade that pick. Look for a team who has two #1 picks and it's interested in Matt Leinart or Reggie Bush, and for Houston to draft two offensive linemen in the first round. This draft is supposed to be weak in skill possition players, but strong on offensive tackles.

It's obvious that what the Texans need, aside from a new coaching staff, is a new offensive line.

I'd trade it if I were them. Offer it to the Jets so they can take Leinart because I think Pennington is done.

I wouldn't pin it all on David Carr. The staff there as done a horrible job of building the team. Their offensive line makes ours look like the all-madden line. They trade away a ton of picks to grab a guy they probably could have gotten anyway in the draft (sounds like the way we were running things for a while)

Carr has the record for being the most sacked QB in the league and they say he is on pace to break that record. Matt Leinhart will get eaten alive if he gets picked by Houston.

If they were smart, they would trade the #1 and get a handsome package (look at what the Bolts got to give NY Eli) and really build a solid O-line. But they wont. They will probably pick Matt Leinart and cut David Carr.

Houston needs to get rid of the GM and the whole coaching staff. They just need to start over.

I was thinking that about a week ago also. Too many injuries to Chad. I wouldn't mind seeing him go there. Keep him away from NFC teams.

This is an interesting topic, one which will become more prominent as the draft order becomes clearer.

At this point, Houston will have options because, honestly, I'd be stunned if they don't end up #1. Do you declare Carr a bust? Their OL is atrocious, more on that later. I really don't think Carr is going to be a successful NFL QB. The tools are there but he can't seem to put it together even when he has protection.

Davis is a good, solid back. I like Bush's potential, but I believe that pick is better allocated elsewhere.

Which brings me to the OL. You've got some pretty good OT's coming out this year like Ferguson from Virginia, Winston from Miami, McNeil from Auburn, etc. Fergy is probably the best of that group but probably not worth the top pick. Top 10 yes, but when you've got a draft that could potentially feature Bush, Leinart and Young, no one is going to take him that high.

Houston will likely be in a position to trade down for a team hot for one of those guys and believe me, someone will take the bait. Their first day draft should be nothing but OL and I'm dead serious. I think Leinart could be a darkhorse pick if they feel Carr isn't going to pan out but throwing him into the fire behind a butchered OL is going to simply result in Alex Smith Version 2.0... or Troy Aikman Version 2.0.

They have to rebuild that OL and the draft is the place to do it. Draft 3-4 young guys and let them gel and grow together. Otherwise, Reliant Stadium will see an ever bigger wave of blue seats.

Off the top of my head, teams needing a QB, as in franchise QB...Arizona, GB, Jets (Chad injury prone), Miami, Baltimore, Cleveland, Titans (McNair almost done)

Anyone else?
