Yeah-remember how P-T always called us "McNabb Hate-Mongers"?(Of course, he never talked about how Eagles fans would start 100s of Romo-Hate threads)

What does he have to say about this?
The last time I saw anything from P-T was during the first Eagles game when they had the lead. He was bragging and said something like it...is...what...it...is. Then they lost. Haven't heard from him since.:laugh2:

This whole thing is a joke...

McNabb hasn't had it tough since his senior year in HS...

I could give a crap whether he is black or white. Don't tell me how tough you have it.

There are millions out here who would take your place in a minute and serve burgers and fries with the interview...

If it's too tough, then rely on your degree and get a real job... but PLEASE don't tell me how hard life is for you as a black QB. I can assure you it is better than us white folk in the communication industry...

Go **** yourself... PLEASE...

And to think, many folks on this board proclaimed Mcnabb was the best QB in the NFC East as recently as last year. Wonder how many people still believe that? Mcnabb is a choke artist with mediocre talent and he always has been.

And that P-T guy is as pompous as they come. It's a shame the mods here are such 'nice guys' - I woulda laid the hammer down on that choad a long time ago.

If you had ever seen the original Denver Broncos uni's, these would be a distant second...

Yes, these are bad enough to make you throw up, but the Bronco uni's actually caused brain hemorrhages...

I had forgotten about those, thanks a lot for reminding me. :bang2:

The sad thing (well, not that sad) is McJab is running neck and neck with Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham as greatest QB.

I will be tuning in just to heard Eagles fans reactions. They are going to let him have it. If they lose he'll be done in their eyes. Maybe even if he just struggles and they eke out a win.

That's crazy.
What will former league MVP Randall Cunningham have to say about that? Ron Jaworski went to a Super Bowl too you know and he lost it to a team that didn't pretend they didn't cheat.

Without Brian Westbrook this guy would have been getting a lot more criticism much sooner than now.

Now really, how hard is it to dump the ball off to Westbrook and look like a good QB?

Westbrooks stats - http://www.nfl.com/players/brianwestbrook/careerstats?id=WES537220

He has never been an accurate QB, plus he chokes in critical situations. Name the last time he threw the game winning TD pass in a game that wasn't from less than 15 yards out.

He was a bigger more physical Michael Vick and now he is not the same player anymore so he has to rely on his arm to win games instead of his legs.

McNabb is done and so are the Eagles.

Although I do think they beat the Lions on Sunday, lol.

McNabb is the greatest QB in Eagles history? Who is he competing against?

Tommy Thompson, Adrian Burk, Norm Van Brocklin (who was the QB for their last Championship in 1960), Sonny Jurgensen, or how about the guy they traded Sonny for, Norm Snead. They had Roman Gabriel for a couple of years and he was very good for them. Ron Jaworski, Randall Cunningham. How about Bubby Brister?

Face it, the Eagles are not known for having great QBs as the only guys on that list in the HoF are Van Brocklin and Jurgensen, and Van Brocklin only played a couple of seasons with them at the end of his career. Jurgensen is the greatest QB they have ever had and McNabb isn't at his level.

McNabb's stats may look nicer due to the era and passer-rating-friendly offense he plays in but he is nowhere near as good as Sonny. Most Eagles fans hated trading Jurgensen away as Snead was a good QB but not great. When Lombardi coached the Commanders in 1969, he said that if they would have had Jurgensen in Green Bay they never would have lost. That was not a slight to Bart Starr but was a comment on just how great a QB Sonny was.

McNabb is a very good QB but he is not great and will never make it to the HoF. The guys he brought up, Manning, Brady, & Palmer, are great QBs who will all likely end up in the HoF (Manning & Brady are locks and Palmer is well on his way but hasn't played long enough yet).

Yeah, there hasn't exactly been a great QB tradition with the Eagles.

--

As far as McNabb's recent media statements go - most anything sounds bad at 0-2.

All the Eagles have to do is win some games, and then their "story" suddenly becomes overcoming hardships .... Reid's family issues and McNabb's knee.

I also maintain that his statistics are a complete mirage. A career completion percentage in the mid-50's sounds nice, but if you put it next to west coast quarterbacks (where slants, screens and swing passes are common) it's really bad.

The lack of interceptions translates to an unwillingness to take chances. Reggie Brown was interviewed this week, and he made it clear that he's getting open. The problem for McNabb has always been his accuracy. His only real assets have been his arm strength and his elusiveness in the pocket. Both of those things are in significant decline now.

As I've been saying for the past three years, let's all of us knock on wood that McNabb is the quarterback of this franchise for another three years.

Great post. Especially the last paragraph. I like McNabb, but this victim act is tired. If I want victim acts I know where to look.

Take away the stats he compiled with Owens and his numbers are even lower. Career highs when Owens was catching passes from McNabb.

Just think, if they hadn't of fallen out we probably would not have TO. So thank you McNabb. Man when TO came I never thought I would say that.

McNabb has gotten progressively worse with the media ever since TO came around. He used to be pretty good about keeping his mouth shut.

He is the best QB the Eagles have ever had, but that's not really saying alot.

He will definitely still be around next year, and starting. Reid isn't going to shove a second rounder into starting in just his second season.

If McNabb's been overly criticized, and at times he has, it's because he plays in Philadelphia. For the most part, it has nothing to do with his color. I say for the most part because there are some racist idiots in Philly who get on him because of his color.

FWIW-I read somewhere that Kevin Kolb caught Reid's eye in his freshman year at Houston(like ?'03?)-to Reid's credit, he's pretty good at spotting talent ahead of time.

Its easy to behave well when things are going well. The fact that he meltsdwon when the times get tough is whats the issue here.
