5:52 pm Cowboys coach Wade Phillips hinted that RB Felix Jones might be taken off the kickoff return unit, not because of a poor performance but his opportunity to see more touches on offense in the coming weeks. WR Kevin Ogletree would likely take the job.
5:51 pm The Cowboys scouting staff today worked out free agent OT Paul McQuistan, formerly of the Raiders. He is the brother of Pat McQuistan, who is on the Cowboys roster. The Cowboys were the last team in the NFL not to bring a player in for a workout this season.
5:43 pm Only halfway through the NFL season, Cowboys coach Wade Phillips is calling the Green Bay game the most important one of the year. Phillips added that winning on the road at Green Bay would be a very big victory.
5:41 pm On the injury front for the Cowboys, coach Wade Phillips said that C Andre Gurode (ankle) and S Ken Hamlin (groin) were less limited in practice today than were yesterday. Phillips thinks both will be at full reps Friday.
5:39 pm This is the ninth time in his career that Cowboys QB Tony Romo has faced a team that runs a 3-4 defense. Romo's record in the previous eight games is 4-4.
