I also think there was a player for the Chargers whose name was Gary Garrison.
I also think his nickname was The Ghost. From the 70's as well.

ah no that was "toast" not ghost

don't know about his time before he came here- he never played corner for us, only special teams but i am almost certain i am correct- he wore 43 and played for the cowboys and raiders.

Okay, that would account for a Super Bowl with the Cowboys in 1993.

Raiders?

He was in the NFL in 1984 when the Raiders were in the Super Bowl, but he was with the Giants who drafted him.

There are still gaps in this, although you have the most likely person if there is one. Not the 70's as reported though which is where I was looking.

I know who it was!

It was former pro wrestler Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. He CLAIMED to have played in the NFL for both the Cowboys and Raiders but neither team has ANY record of him (his real name is James Neidhart) unless it was in training camp, but he never made an active roster for either team, therefore he was a "ghost". He was a little older than me so if he had actually played then it would have been in the late 70s when both teams went to the SB.

I don't know if that is who the jersey is from but it would make sense if it was. A fictitious career needs some tangible evidence for credibility and pro wrestlers are not above a little creative license to further their success.

Other than that it was probably one of those jerseys some fan had made up with their nickname on the back.

Whoever it was, it was NOT an actual NFL player, not with those criteria.

Edit: If it was Elvis Patterson, whose nickname was "Toast" not "Ghost", then he couldn't have played in a SB with the Raiders although he was on the Cowboys in 1993. He played for the Raiders from 1990 until he was traded to us or cut and picked up by us (more likely) in 1993.

I think there's a lot of crossed up information here.

Dave Casper was nicknamed Ghost. He played for the Raiders, Oilers, and Vikings. He wore #87.

Todd Christiansen was drafted by the Cowboys, traded to the Raiders and replaced Casper, but he worse #46.

#43 for the Cowboys all through the 70's was Cliff Harris.

To my knowledge no player in History played for the Cowboys and Raiders in Super Bowls.

You win! The answer is "No one!"
