OK-Philly Game is a BIG game,Can 9 Handle it?

Romo has won 12 straight November games. Yeah, I'd say he's capable of "handling it".

It's interesting how the games get smaller after we win, and bigger after we lose. Wasn't the Atlanta game supposed to be "big"?

well of course. Then we won and Romo played great so the Romo haters decided it wasn't a big game anymore.

Well obviously, we need a leader like Dirk Nowitzki on this team.
Dirk doesnt choke. Dirk is the best PF in the NBA. Dirk wins playoff games. Get back to me when the "WIZ" make the playoffs.hahahahahahaha:laugh2:

Agent ZERO may make it too 25 games without an injury this year.lol.NOT.Last year u liked the Magic they lost, now its the WIZ? Please. If ur gonna flip flop pick a good team.

Why are any of you entertaining his post? He's calling it a big game now but if Romo plays well, and the Boys win, he, along with all the Romo haters, will start claiming that it really wasn't that big a game. They'll say..."Well it wasn't in December or the playoffs. So it really wasn't that big. Stay tuned."

Same old, same old.

NO I wont,Romo played well last two weeks. This Philly game is huge. If he plays well I will say. I just dont expect anything either way then get my heart broke again. I am simply asking if he can finally handle it. Boy it annoys u guys when someone has an opinion or even asks it.lol. 9 has a certain tendency to give away these sort of games. I hope he wont this time.We shall see.

It's going to take a good game by all three phases of the game to beat the Eagles. I hope romo keeps it up. He's playing really good lately.

I hope it doesnt happen, but I wouldnt be surprised if Tony Turnover is resurrected next week. Outside only throwing 1 pick against Philly in the first meeting of '07, Romo's always been extremely turnover prone against this defense. They just seem to have his number.

I can still remember Aikman/Buck talking about how he talked down on the Eagles D before the 2nd meeting in '07 and he threw 0 TDs, 3 Picks, fumbled twice, and barely completed 1/3 of his passes. That's when Romo's mouth started to annoy me. :bang2:

This upcoming game is the type that Romo needs to play well in. Its a huge game and its away and it in primetime. The bright lights will be shining. Can 9 handle the pressure and finally get over the hump? Stay tuned.........

isn't every game a big/important game? doesn't Romo need to play well in every game?

the Cowboys have been very good and consistant over the last three games. why do you still have doubts? why are you being such a Negative Nancy?

Why is it a referendum on Romo? I want to know if the O-Line can handle the pressure from the Eagles, if our receivers can get open, if our defense can slow down their offense.

The Eagles are playing great football right now, and I think they're a better team than the Cowboys. I hope the 'Boys prove me wrong. But Romo's going to need help from his blockers and receivers or he is going to look bad.

THe way Philly is playing right now...we get smoked. I am sorry but until i see ROMO win a big one my faith is limited, especially here in Philly.

If there ever was a time to pound the rock, this is it.

Do it Garrett.

This is true.

Lost in these last two blowouts is our running game being held back. An average of 114 rushing yards while averaging just 4 yards per rush. Atlanta and Seattle got penetration up the middle quite a few times.

How has Romo handled the last 2 prime-time games vs. the Eagles?

Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty... pretty good.

The Philly game is not a big one. I can only say it again and again and again: the first big game will be against the giants at 6th of december.

We have a positive record. Even if we lose the game we are still in good shape for a wildcard spot. And it'S still early in the season. Alot can happen.

But Philly has a good backfield and a pass rush we usually struggle with. They also seem to have a great defense concept that works good against us.

Romo has struggled alot against better defenses.

So i am really looking forward to see if all the hype around him that rose from the last two games is really true. Did he really got better ? Is he really improving ?

He played against poor to not so good to medicore defenses in the last games. To me he didn't look that great the way some people like him to be. He had some throws that to me were headscratcher and he for sure didn't look like he "sees things" like he said on sunday after the game against the Seahawks.

So right now i am not convinced but i hope he turned the corner. First, let's see how he plays against Philly.

My prediction is: The offense will be based heavily on runs to NOT put the game into Romo's hands. Just because to not kill the self confidence Romo just found again. On the other hand i don't think that will be enough. So this will be an interesting game.

And then i want us to see come out and kill those Eagles who don't deserve to be on the same field with us. Heck they don't deserve to be in the same stadium NOT even mentioned in the same sentence!

Boy it annoys u guys when someone has an opinion or even asks it.

You don't have an "opinion", you have an "agenda"...

The difference is, when you express the same opinion elevnty-million times, it becomes an agenda...

And yeah, that gets annoying; the Boys just put up two reaqlly good performances in a row, and rather than talking up the team, YOUR reaction is an "oh boy, I sure hope Romo doesn't choke against the Iggles" thread...

Romo is the one guy on our team that I don't worry about on a week to week basis. He plays QB in the NFL, and he's entitled to have an oh **** game every now and again - but the way he's playing right now, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Romo finally 'gets it'. Our MVP thus far has been 9, and we go as far as he takes us. The way he's been playing lately, that just may be well into January.

Juck, I understand your point of view and it's well warranted given recent history with our fearless leader #9. That said, I have seen a marked improvement over the last 5 weeks or so that leads me to believe he might finally be turning the corner. I consider my optimism guarded. I'll never get too high again because getting those hopes dashed in a blaze of 6-44 glory sucks ***. However, I remain hopeful that this December thing will finally go away and we will both get to enjoy a positive playoff game or two in the near future.

There are no "Romo haters" in my opinion. To me they're just fans that have seen it all before and refuse to be sucked in yet again. They can call my guarded optimism whatever they choose. It won't change the fact that I enjoy being more middle of the road nowadays versus dangling out there on that extreme left or right soft shoulder.

So, to conclude Juck, do your thing because more people understand where you're coming from than you'll probably ever know in this thread.

In order for #9 to have a good game the OL, the defense, and special teams need to show up,,, you can't go on the road to Philthadelphia and expect your QB to carry the team.
