We have Carpenter concentrating on working at ILB and McQ moved to compete at LG. Is there anything else of real interest that has happened at the mini camp? I am leaving out TO for obvious reasons.

burnett also working out at ilb
stanback returning punts

Neither one of them is any suprise at all- Burnett was the designated backup for Ware most of last season, though. I wonder who it will be this year?

I've bought into the Stanback hype, so if his foot's not fully healed yet, I think I'd rather have him locked up in a room and have him watch film all day and study the playbook.

So have I. ;)

Really why do they have him doing something that could reinjure the foot or aggravate it? Just does not make sense. these minicamps are not THAT important.

From what I've read he's just catching punts to learn that all over again and not doing much running...Man if he's as explosive as they say, watch out!

I'm getting way too hyped over the potentials this season. It all rest on the D in my opinion...The offense seems set to succeed!

I am sure they've got him hitting the books, as well as getting him to watch the other recievers. My impression was that he was at about 80% right now. The one thing he can do without much danger to the foot is to practice judging and catching punts. He needs the reps since he never did that before and has limited experiance grabbing the ball in any form. This is about it for him right now. I am sure all the Doctors have weighed in on it.

Propbably Spencer since Ellis is penciled in as a starter.

I know the Cowboys have only had 2 practices but was very happy to hear Phillips comments re Spears making some really good plays--something he didn't show much of last season. Now whether Spears continues this play or slips backwards is too soon to tell, but sure am hoping.
