Here's my rant:

My parents are downstairs talking about how replacing Romo would fix all our problems.

HOW can you put the blame solely (even the majority of the blame) on Romo. The Ravens game? Maybe. The Pittsburgh game? Yeah. But how can you blame him for this game.

Was he the one giving horrible protection, was he the one fumbling kickoffs, was he the one running those horrible routes?

Yeah, he needs to learn how to hold onto the ball and he needs to learn to not throw boneheaded picks.

He's definitely a problem, but we're better off with him than without him IMO.

Tony Romo is more careless with the football than Brett Favre ever thought about being.

Tony Romo is what you get when Brett Favre and Chad Hutchinson have an offspring.

He is our QB though, and we need to support and hope he gets better.

So turning the Cowboys into the Commanders is the answer? Lets fire the coach, and the offensive coordinator and start over again...(again!) Fire Phillips because Parcells couldn't win in December? This is not a new problem.

Meanwhile:
Cowher 92 & 93: 20 - 12 / 0 - 2 in the playoffs
Holmgren 92 & 93: (Packers) 18 - 14 / 1 - 1 in the playoffs
Holmgren 01, 02 & 03: 22 - 26 DNQ for post season
Phillips 07 & 08: 22 - 10 / 0 - 1 in the playoffs

Look at the teams they have faced the last 4 weeks:

Steelers #1 defense Take your pick of stars that put up
Ravens #2 defense Ray Lewis is vocal and produces
Philidelphia #3 defense Dawkins is vocal and produces
Giants #5 defense Pierce is vocal and produces

Did the Cowboys not know they were facing defense ranked this high? That perform this well as a team? Did the coaches not see it on film? Did the players not see it on film? I bet they did, and I bet they prepaired, but the players didn't step up and execute...

This team needs a vocal leader who produces on the field, keeps players focused, and creates an advantage for this team. Right now they don't have one. TO could have been the guy, but his past reputation has ruined that for him. Who else is there? Ellis can't or will not, Ware can't or will not, #38 just can't, James? Maybe? Who else, there is no one on that field that steps up and pushes people.

I will not go as far as saying that Phillips is blameless, or that Garrett is either. But I firmly believe this loss falls squarely on the shoulders of the players that showed up today.

As for rebuilding, safety, and OL are two that I think they should focus on building quality depth, run defense and pass defense are two areas that killed them this year.

REALISTIC OPTIONS: (Suggesting Jerry sell team is just fantasy)

1. Wade and most of the assistant coaches have to go. I was willing to give Wade another season if we made the playoffs or at least lost a nail-biter, but to get totally dominated like a freaking JV team is too much.

2. Cut out the celebrity crap. No more Hard Knocks, no more letting reporters have offices at Valley Ranch, no more airing dirty laundry in public, no more he said, she said crap, ect....

3. Start making an example of a couple of players, start with Proctor.

4. Go get a legit NT in free agency or draft and move Ratliff to DE.

5. Cut the camp cupcake crap and start going full pads, remember that a team usually plays like they practice.

That is it for now, time to get go another beer!!!

Honestly, unless we can get a Cowher, I think if we fire Wade, Garrett gets the job and we make a move on a strong DC behind him.

Unless it is Cowher, we've got to take our lumps with a young guy ... and Garrett is realistically the most reasonable option.
