Why don't you cancel the season then if you think the season is done. There have been so many times where a team looks like they are done only to get its act together just in time. I guess the Chargers who were 6-5 should have quit last year because they looked at the schedule and cried like you are now and said 'How are we gonna get through this schedule when we can only lose one game' or the Eagles two years ago who were 5-6 and lost their starting QB for the year cried also or the 05 Steelers who were 6-5 and went on to win the Super Bowl or the 88 49ers who were 6-5 and then went on the win the Super Bowl also cried too. I could go on with examples of teams struggling and then getting their act together all night long. My point is stop crying and whining and looking ahead at a schedule where you, I or anyone else don't know what is going to happen and get behind your team and support them.
Not to state the obvious here, but every situation is different with different variables. The problems here in Dallas are very deep and serious. There is no accountability, no leadership (esp not from Romo), no heart, a softness, serious injury issues, a tough schedule. This team is sick, and all realists and alot of the players can smell it. "Supporting" the team means demanding they perform up to their expectations, and showing genuine...even loving concern when they do not.
You see, I look at you like Wade Phillips. You think you "support" your team by just blindly yelling "Hoorah" for them and constantly
HOPING for the best tmrow, rather than taking ACTIONS to ensure that this team isnt allowed to continue down the course it has been going down the last 12 games (6-6....500 isnt playoff worthy). Now I cant personally do this, all i can do is hope someone in the organization does. But all I can do is look at what I have seen and known from Wade, Stewart, Campo, etc....and I know that it isnt gonna happen.
You think I am not being a true fan by taking a hard look at my team that has a disease. I disagree. Again, it's like Wade. Wade thinks he is being the Players "friend" and "treating them like men" by being nice 24/7, not wanting to upset them with harsh words and criticism and making them fear for their jobs. I say this is like a parent who tries to be a friend to their child. In reality, this parent is not what their child needs. They need discipline, even if it's more "fun" with the "players coach"...or the mom who will let their 16 yr old kids drink at their house and have wild parties. The coach should have some perspective, as it is usually and older/wiser man.
In reality...Wade is doing a disservice to his players by failing to hold them accountable, by failing to DEMAND their best, and when necessary...punishing them when they do not give it. I say fans who do not let their team know that they do not appreciate an unacceptable level of effort, leadership, accountability, etc....are also doing a disservice to their team.
I am "behind our team".....as are all the others you may think are bailing on them and failing to "support" them, and we are behind them in a way that they NEED us to be.
