The game is the Sunday night game. It is on NBC (flex).parchy;1216675 said:You better make sure you've got the NFL Network first. If you don't this whole thing is moot anyway.

I told her I'd rather not, but if its a big deal to her I would...She asked if we could be late and leave early around 9'ish...I said OK...Just a guy being nice to his GF.
Guess what, next Saturday (the night of the party), we have an 8 PM kickoff !
What an idiot, I didn't even realize.
Does the game actually start at 8 ? Is there a pre-game ? A long national anthem song ? Should I blow her and the boring party off so I don't miss the 1st quarter ?
What's your thoughts ?

Many years ago it was the first pre-season game of the cowboys that season.
I was watching the game at my parents house.
My mom kept saying, you better hurry up and start getting ready.
I had family members from out of town there as well.
I kept saying, in a few minutes.
Finally after the first quarter was over and I knew there would only be the backups playing I went and got ready.
When I go to where I was supposed to be that day, I was not late, but I was not there when I was expected to be there.
The wife was nervous asking why I was not there earlier.
I told her the cowboys were playing and I wanted to see a little of the starters.
So she understood, we made sure everything was setup at the church and about 45 minutes later we got married.
True story.:laugh2:
