They change the field? I don't see the blue outlines on the numbers.

I thought I read somewhere that there's actually like three or four different fields that can be used. Don't know if that's true or even possible given the area needed to take care of all the fields. Could have sworn I read it though.

Question for you guys. How many of you actually went to school at OU? They seem to have a lot of bandwagon fans. The ship was pretty empty when my LSU Tigers mopped up the floor with the Sooners in the big game in 2003.

:lmao2:
Let me just state for the record that I don't have a horse in the race. I didn't go to Oklahoma, I didn't go to Texas, and I only care about who wins the OK-TX game (or any other game, for that matter) based on which team I have laid my wagers on.

So when discussing last year's events, I am able to do so from the standpoint of an impartial follower.

OU just looks like they don't have a whole lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball after Bradford and Gresham.

Their Olines pass protection was bad but their run blocking was even worse.

They still run the exact same finesse scheme but they just aren't talented at all on the OLINE.

Very average.

Even if Bradford comes back he is going to struggle all year because he isn't going to be able to sit nice and tall in the pocket like he has in the past.

Inexperienced OL. Demarco Murray is a player though.

They like to run the stretch play with Murray and the OLine looked terrible trying to block it.

Also Murray carries the ball like a loaf of bread.

He is an explosive player but I just don't think they do a lot of things to try and get him in space.

Hey Catch. Do me a personal favor and just stay out of anything that has Oklahoma in it. If you don't know whats going on on the OL then dont comment. You just make yourself look silly.

There are 4 new starters on that line and our center is last years TE and our only guy from last year is this years LT who was last years RT. Think about it. Lose Witten and Romo and start Kitna/Proctor/Free/McQuistan and Holland and see how well the Cowboys do.

Even when Sam was in there the OL was horrible. He had no protection and was getting hit over and over and over.

I am pretty disgusted w/ Stoops atm.

The OL for the Sooners so far is horrible. The play calling w/ the redshirt QB was also something I was upset about. For all of the talent that Oklahoma has we sure have some oddball play calling. You call a QB sneak when your Rb's are averaging 4+ a carry? Chris Brown can't get you 1 yard?

Word out of Norman is that Sam might have a torn rotary cuff and be lost for the season. I hope for that young man that that isn't true.

Still trying to get some news.

I hope it isn't true either. I hate to see a player - any player - get injured.

I've always said the NCAA should have a rule whereby an injured player can still retain the year of eligibility if he plays, say, 3 or fewer games during the year. Like they could "redshirt" an injured player who didn't really get a chance to play. This would be a textbook example of why I believe such a rule should exist.

Yes, I know Bradford still has another year of eligibility left but I don't think it is fair if he gets robbed out of virtually an entire season through no fault of his own.

I really hope that isn't true or it would be just more motivation for players to take of for the NFL first chance they get

They do.... Jordan Shipley got a medical resdhirt. Bradford could try that out if he misses the rest of the year.

Hey Dallas... Welcome to lossville.

And yes I know their exact situation and guess what? Their situation is an excuse.

Either you produce or you don't.

Did the oline play hard? Nope

Did they make penalties? Yes

Do they even come close to touching the talent that was last years oline? Not even close.

I tried to tell everyone last year that OU's oline was the reason for their success.

Now im not going to act like the OU line can't get better but I just don't see the talent on the oline.

So IMO even if the execution gets better it won't matter because the players up front just don't look that good to begin with.

That is true but Sam also needed to get rid of the ball quick at times and he just didn't do it.

He has always had the luxury of sitting in the pocket nice and tall without anyone in his face.

Kevin Wilson is going to have to bring in more blockers and give Bradford more easy checkdowns and Sam will have to actually get the ball to those checkdowns and not hold on to the ball waiting for the big play. He won't just be able to play pitch and catch like he has in the past.

I hope he comes back because I am very interested in see'ing how he performs when he doesn't have all day and night to throw.

I stand corrected.... like I said, it probably wouldn't matter to Bradford anyway, but it is good to know that the chance is there.

Also see Jason White who was a 6 year player.

You've got to love how Switzersflask is absent after his thread. Typical no guts kind of thing.

I would hate that. Too good a young talent to be hurt like that.

So will Bradford get short term disability with 80% of his pay while he's out or do you think OU will give him 100%?

100%. Hell, that's why he didn't declare for the draft last season. He didn't wanna take a pay cut.

Hated to see Bradford get hurt like that but I loved the fact that OU lost. I love it each and every time they lose. Congrats to BYU going in there and taking the game from them. Awesome job.
