Man, me and you always agree on these weird things.

Dont know what it is, but I just like Peterson's running style. I just think he is the safer pick, but that is why the Bears took Benson over caddy and and the other fella out of Auburn and right now Miami and Tampa have the edge...so I could be wrong.

I think Bush is a good player, I just dont buy into the Gayle Sayers talk until I see him put up 5 million yards on a team other than UCLA and Fresno State.
I like the backs who can pound you to death or run right past you. The best I ever saw in college was Bo Jackson. I still wonder what he could have been. Peterson is my kind of RB

See to me here is the thing.

I think Bush brings more skills to the table.

My thing is, I think a guy like Peterson can play in any System in the NFL, I dont think Bush can, if he does go to a system...say like the Ravens, he has to be use sparingly and you have to find other ways to get him the ball.

But then again, I could be wrong because they said the same thing about Marcus Allen.

Im gonna stick with the bruisers, like Larry Johnson, Jamal Lewis (sucky team), Cadillac, Shawn Alexander etc etc.

Yep, a guy you can give a lick as much as take one.

A guy who can pound our NFC East foes into submission in December in the cold weather.

But you put Bush in a Philly and/or Rams type offense...wheeeew...that could have the DC up for weeks...

I think Bush is more like a Marcus Allen type

Peterson more like an Eric Dickerson type......

Just depends on what you like....

Peterson has 2000 yard potential in the NFL
Bush does not.

Its as easy as that. I would take him over Bush.

Peterson is a horse. He gets a bit silly sometimes, but the talent is undeniable. Long strider who really just needs to get well. He's been banged up since their opener vs. TCU.

The Sooner OL is basically as green as you could ask for. They're bad right now, but should get better next year. That's when Adrian could really get rolling again. He's unbelievable.

Also worth nothing, IMO, is the development of Rhett Bomar. OU won out with him as well over UT. Obviously, he is taking his lumps now, but he is going to be a monster when they develop the kids around him. You can already see the improvement from August to now.

As a Longhorn fan, it pains me to realize the Sooners may be back really strong next fall. Their offensive line and receivers are going to get better, particulary guys like Malcom Kelly. Their core offensive guys are freshmen (Bomar, a RSF) with the exception of AP, who is a sophomore.

Mike....your frikin crazy man for saying that, NOT in the same league my friend. Maybe in another year Peterson will come back, but Bush is an LT like back, he will be a stud!

I hate seeing you bash OU all the time. You have not a CLUE of the program. Every post is im an OU alum blah blah..

Another thing...post w/ your real account James... :D

Peterson is vastly overrated.

Ngata is a 3-4 NT Load. But he takes plays off and is not a "mauler". I want to see more second half from him.

Yep, the only thing I worry about with Peterson is that I think he runs a little too high. Not as high as the kid Chris Brown for Tennessee, who use to run all everyone in the Big 12, but I think it could be a problem.

Who is putting the fear in Oregon to not crowd the line of scrimmage?

You crowd the line of scrimmage against the Trojans and Linehart will cut you up and down the field.

He needs his QB Bomar to grow up and become a threat in the passing game.

I'll be honest. I didn't see a lot of them this season. Think Callahan is getting things in place, as he'd like it to be?

I did see them last night. The only other game I recall watching is the Iowa State game in Lincoln.

Im still waiting to see this high powered Oregon offense.

C'mon, your going up against a 7-4 squad with freshman all over the place :D .
