I'm curious to know just how much Amobi Okoye can contribute this year.

I have a feeling his isn't going to be activated of NFI this year. We've got him signed for next though

I would say there is no rush. His activitation is predicated on injuries most likely, but it would be too hard to find room for both he and Lawrence right now.

Last year Dline was a major problem, especially at the DT/NT spot(s). Dallas was pulling guys off the street. The potential for the quality of the depth of that Dline rotation is very impressive. I don't think it matters who starts, as much as can the those that don't start make a significant contribution when they're in the game.

If he is activated, I wouldn't expect Okoye (or Brent) to be a starter, but if the guy that go in for Melton or Crawford or Hayden or McClain, the quality of that rotation is impressive. It can mean starters can take more plays off and hopefully stay fresher/healthier as the season goes on.

I know it's splitting hairs, but I lean towards keeping Edwards and cutting Jack Crawford.

The team seems to like Crawford better. When he's been healthy he's been active over Edwards and when they need to make a roster move Edwards has been the guy released. I think the only reason Edwards is on the roster right now is because Crawford is hurt.

Once all the guys are healthy they may not have either on the roster.

Great to have Carter back this week. As for Okoye I'm sure coaches will put him in when they feel he is ready. They have been patient with others like Spencer and I'm sure they will do the same with Okoye.

WOW I've never heard Amobis' story before incredible, if he can come back he could be another "Ro type" for this defense. I'm loving these types of "backs against the wall" stories these coaches/scouts are finding.

Has anyone heard a time table for his return?
