Do you think there is any validity to this? I can't help but be suspect after watching the NYG game again. When Romo came in the blocking got much better even excluding Romo's escapability. Watching the OL reaction when Romo got the nod was quite telling. The whole thing is fishy to me.

It might be my imagination or a crazy conspiracy theory but I was curious what your opinion is?

Regardless I am glad it happened so don't misunderstand the intent of this post. I am just curious if there is anyone else who shares my suspicion :)

I think Bledsoe made the OL look bad on porpoise.

This wouldn't surprise me - Bledsoe has made every line in front of him look bad thus far.

I think something no one has yet to point out in this thread is Bledsoe's snap count and use thereof during games. Did anyone notice that Bledsoe snapped the ball without changing things at the line, unless it was to kill? Even when the defense showed blitz, he would snap it when he WANTED to snap it, often giving the OL NO TIME to read the blitz.

On the other hand, since Romo has played, whenever a team shows blitz, he alters snap count and allows the OL to read, sometimes even audibling or changing a route. I cannot stress enough how important that is. When the defense doesn't know exactly when you are snapping, or you freeze the count as they show blitz to allow your OL reaction time, you are helping your line immensely.

Now - yes - I do think the line is more enthusiastic with Romo back there. It's a guy who is going to make them look better, or at least not as bad as Bledsoe made them look. The ways in which Romo improves this offense are nothing short of amazing.

I dont believe anything was done on purpose.

I DO believe that the O-line plays with different energy, enthusiasm with Romo back there.

I DO believe they try HARDER.... like AVIS!:D

There wasn't much detail. Just that some of the OL asked that Parcells switch to Romo for good. I've been meaning to ask JJT if he heard anything on this or not. I trust the source of the info pretty well.

I don't know if it is true or not, but it really wouldn't surprise me at all.

That could be true, however, do you think the oline started playing bad intentionally in order for Romo to come in?

No, that I do not believe. No one wants to get benched.

For those of you thumping your chests saying no way have you ever played sports before? If you have it probably wasn't very competitive. When it is you or the other guy you better believe something is going to happen to get a point across. It's not hard to make a single play look like a mistake.

Again most of you go to the extreme and act as if I am saying they were throwing the game. When you play with someone enough you know how to make them look bad. It could amount to a single play maybe more. All it took in the NYG game was 1 INT.

In closing you might want to check your arrogance at the door because stuff like this happens all the time. People do it in the work place or to impress a girl at the expense of a friend. Some chose that way others don't but to dismiss it altogether is ignorant.

Fair enough, but the type of actions you're proposing could cost a guy his job. They may be less enthused, but intentionally missing blocks or the like is far-fetched IMO.

You have never played football have you? That's the whole point to help the guy lose his job :)

No... I'm saying it could cost the OL their jobs. They're not going to intentionally miss blocks or whatever because if they do, they'll be benched or cut.

Yes I have played football... Not at the level to where it is my livelihood, though... Have you??

I'm glad I didn't play on your team.

I am pretty sure the coaches extensively break down film and if a guy was purposely missing assignments, the coaching staff would notice.

Bledsoe, because of his very style, is tough to block for.

Listen guys when you play sports you become friends with guys standing next to you. In this case the OL will be close.

That OL will build confidence with each other. If the players around them are good he helps the OL. When a player is bad he hurts the OL. If any one person starts to hurt the success on a consistent basis the OL starts talking. When the OL is getting blamed every week when it is not all their fault how do you think the OL is going to feel? How long do you think they will put up with that? It will be suttle because they don't want to get benched. But you guys have to remember this is competition and their lively hood. It is not uncommon for players to take matters into their own hands.

Dboys, if Romo gets sacked, let's say, 5 or 6 times this coming game then what will you say?

As one of Bledsoe's last supporters on this board, and yes I would have liked to see Bledsoe finish the Giants game, I can't buy that the OL was stinking it up on purpose to sabotage Bledsoe. They stunk it up because they stink.

They did, however, play at their very best in the Carolina game and may well play at their best in the next couple of games as well. The change at QB took all the pressure off of them. By playing with renewed vigor they can temporarily make people believe that they are not the problem. The problem is they are. Romo will benefit from this and hopefully we will also in Ws, but I'm feeling a little skeptical about it. I don't think they're as good as the Carolina game seemed to indicate. The Giants were getting through at will on the few occasions that they wanted to in the 2nd half, they provided a real pass rush test, the Panthers didn't.

With the easiest part of the schedule remaining the O line will have a chance to make us forget how we felt about them before Bledsoe left and Bledsoe can sit on the sideline bearing his blame and the blame that was once thought to be the oline's as well.

I just think the QB controversy has managed to mask some serious deficiencies on both sides of the ball.

Did I say I did it? Big assumption. If you played junk did it ever happen on a team you played for? Doesn't mean you were involved but did you ever have a team mate that maybe wasn't liked? Over time people get fed up with it and do things they shouldn't.

If you think it doesn't happen you are sadly mistaken.

Listen guys I am not saying it happened in this case but for those of you ripping into me like it doesn't happen are naive.

You should be in the media with all of the hypothetical questions you like to ask :)

I would say our OL sucks.
