Yesterday we heard that the team is trying to trade La'el Collins and also heard there are whispers about Tyron starting to decline. We already know they need a new starting LG and might like to upgrade the Center position.

I am confident that they will draft a plug and play LG, but will they start an rebuild this offseason for our line that is aging, less productive? Perhaps double dip in this area?

I don’t see Smith or Martin going anywhere anytime soon. Smith has a decent contract and Martin is all pro

Biadasz is on a rookie deal. Steele is your at RT who is also on a rookie deal.

LG will be upgraded but I wouldn’t expect much more.

We have Ball on the bench to groom at Tackle

Yes they need OL picks at any of the positions to come in and play . And Josh Ball and Farniok need to come to camp with the mindset jobs are open for the taking and not disappear an entire season .

Ball and Farniok get forgotten. I agree. I think either can fill a need. Farniok has played some center as well.

They have been looking at a ton of Tackles with position flex. If Steele ascends to become the starter, his contract is also up after next season.

James Daniels in Chicago is a FA and has position flex. He can play Guard and Center. Hes just 25.

Makes since. I believe the Cowboys will add a few draft choices in the 2nd/3rd rounds. They are going to load up on the interior of the offensive line. I still believe they want a tackle/guard hybrid first though. Good plan if it works out.

That position flex could start them inside at Guard and eventually move outside if needed. Still believe Green is the ideal pick for them, even with his poor testing. Like him much more then a Tyler Smith.

Actually, the team is fielding calls for him. Jerry and Stephen aren't calling around the league begging for a trade. Collins is in demand if he's available. Might be the dumbest move of an incredibly dumb off season so far.

No way do I get rid of Collins unless someone gives us the world for him. He’s your best RT and LG.

If they do trade lael I could see them trying to sign Steele to an extension if they feel he is the solution and can be signed for cheaper before starting the whole season then hitting fa. He's also only going to be a rfa, not an ufa.

That's very possible.

I like Steele, but he’s no Lael and needs to improve his strength.

I don't think Martin or Tyron play past 2023.

I agree but I still don't understand the LG talk. As much as the cowboys have struggled at LG over the past few years, they have never put La El there. There are 2 problems on the left side. First and most important is the health of Tyron Smith. The second was ConnorM and his penalties. Connor is gone and its going to be a whole lot easier and cheaper to find a new LG than a new RT of Collins caliber.

Yeah, Green is the best guard prospect in my opinion for what the Cowboys do. Maybe trade down a little bit and get him in late 20s.

Zion Johnson would seem to fit the bill as well.

If I'm not mistaken he can play all five spots.

Seems iffy that Green makes it to 24.
