I used to drink all kinds of different beers. Since I got my gallbladder removed, all I can handle is Michelob Ultra.

I've had that a few times, but like Sarge said, it's too low in abv and has only the faintest of taste. But I understand you have your reasons, and I don't blame you, Miley. Thanks for stopping by and sharing :)

It's way better than that hipster beer you drink. Ha.

Not only hipsters drink PBR, Sarge is a roughrider :)

But it's so annoying seeing them in downtown LA with their 16oz cans and beards at a trendy bar (yes, some LA bars pander to them and sell tall cans of PBR from behind the counter, lol) when I'm drinking a pint of dogfishhead :(

I did try some great beers at the Fathead Brewery in Cleveland this weekend. They had one called Bumbleberry Blueberry Ale that was amazing. It came with blueberries in it. They had a bourbon one that tasted just like bourbon, and a coffee porter that tasted exactly like coffee. That one was really good. We also tried one called Spooky Tooth, which had us LOL. We've always called those fat broads on the back of a motorcycle "spooky-tooth-scooter-nasties" , so naturally I had to buy a t-shirt.

Sounds awesome! I've done several brewery tours and they are always fun, always leave verklempt!

"Scooter nasties" hahaha Might steal that one from ya. I love seeing "bigguns" riding their bikes, I always wonder how they get the things going. Especially when you see a 250+lber pouring over the sides of a GSXR or R6. Pure comedy lol

Wish I had seen this thread earlier - I love beer too!

I would classify myself as a moderate drinker. I drink almost every day, but limit it to 1-2 beers on the weekdays. Weekends are another story though. I enjoy drinking beer while watching football and am into college football just as much as NFL (geaux tigers). So this means I'll take down a six pack on saturday and sunday. My wife likes to drink too, and whenever I see her drinking I get the urge to do so as well.

As far as styles go, I love me some american IPA's! The hoppier the better, IMO. Something about the hops gives the buzz a little something extra if anyone knows what I mean... That being said, I also enjoy stouts, brown ales, pale ales, sours, pilsners, etc. Almost anything besides hefe's and watered-down lagers. I don't drink wine or liquor, just have never cared for it.

And sorry to hear that. I'm 47 and should be coming down from the "party phase". But why?
It's only for health reasons to be honest with you. I like to drink until the case or the bottle is finished and I just couldn't keep doing that to myself as often as I was. I kill a bottle every cowboys game though, that's for sure.

When I was 24 I drank the hard stuff, it's been just beer since around age 28. Thanks for sharing, Big D :)
Been trying to chill out on the beer but I couldn't help myself the other day. It was one of the first chilly nights here in a while (south Texas) and I was just craving a good porter or stout. Had me a couple of el robusto porters at a local draft house.

Just kidding with you. I'm definitely not in the party phase I was in my younger days. Just entering the empty nest phase of my life, so have more freedom to visit the party phase, but try to keep it in check.

Just start a project car and that should take up your free time. God willing that will be me when I retire. I would love to restore a 69 roadrunner
