Whether this is relevant or not.....but is a recruit held liable to a commitment if the HC leaves the School?

It's not unusual for a recuit who verbally committed to back off the commitment and open themselves back up to being recruited. When Petrino left Louisville, one of their players withdrew his verbal and left himself open to other offers. Sometimes kids renege on their verbal commitment to one school to go to another before signing day. If it's after they've signed their letter of intent, it's probably a different story though. I'm not sure, but I think the LOI is more or less binding.
