Dallas has the interior of the offensive line to be dominate and I believe the tackle play will improve and be a force this season.I have also been hearing that Dallas could challenge the single season sack record with the current pass rushers on the roster. What unit is better in 25 ,the Offensive line or the pass rush.

Once again it all comes down to complimentary football. If we can play with a lead our pass rush will be dominant. If we are playing from behind, teams will run the ball, and take our pass rush out of the game.

I don't expect to see any better push to the QB from the interior defensive line than we got last season. Relying on defensive ends and LBs alone is extremely limiting.......doesn't have to be measured in sacks but they need to get more push and get that pocket dirty

The lines are bizarro. The OL is incredibly strong up the middle and iffy on the edges. The DL is the polar opposite. Loaded with pass rushers and very iffy in the middle.
We will struggle against dominant run teams.(Eagles)

I have not heard anything about challenging for the “single season sack record”.

They could line up Parsons over the middle more often, letting him blitz. That would give us interior defensive line pass rush.

I'd like that more on early downs at least. It would keep him from being a liability in run defense at DE.

Just moving him around causes problems for the offense. Parking him at the RDE position, makes it easy for the offense to scheme against him.

If we are taking run responsibilities away from from the D line it's really not even a question...Pass rush will be significantly better than the OL.
I would say the pass rush will get the better start, Parsons will have his best sack numbers of his career this season , he has the best talent at pass rusher around him that he has had since he's been here I think. That should help Parsons improve his sack and pressure numbers. Then you have Fowler who had 10 sacks last year,Williams who could be healthy and hungry, and the 2nd round pick Ezeiruaku looks like a first rounder .Thats solid players at pass rusher. The offensive line may get a slower start ,waiting for the tackle play to catch up with the interior ,but they will get their footing and gel into a mauling unit that will run the ball effectively this season.

Its funny how one off-season can change our view of things. Suddenly, we have a dominant offensive line? Because we added a rookie OG? We could, maybe. But let's remember last year the Cowboys were one of the worst rushing offenses in the league. Some of that was because of the RBs, but most of it was the OL. I am not counting my chickens because we bought a few eggs. This team has the potential to be as mediocre as they were last year.

I think the season deciding question is does the offense rush for more yards than the defense gives up rushing yards. The defense will crumble and get all the blame.
The middle is weak. Overshown probably won't even play this season and if he does he won't be the same player. It will take two seasons at least if he ever makes it back to what he was.

Moving Parsons around is a key to the season I believe ,if you move him between LB and DE he becomes a better player for your defense. It causes confusion for the offensive line ,if you let him pass rush from different spots on the field.Plus I noticed teams are just running right at Parsons if you just leave him at RDE.I believe he has a better supporting cast around him ,which might let Eberflus play Parsons at LB a little more if need be.

That one technique DT Dallas drafted in the 7th rd Jay Toia looks like he can play he pushes centers and guards back towards the QB quite often. You can't move him he is a load.

I’m worried Eberflus defense won’t be very dynamic.

I think it will be a what you see is what you get defense.

Hope I’m wrong.

Where did we come up with the idea that offensive line will be dominant? Its an offensive line full of questions and that is typically not good. Will Guyton take the next step to reach a league average starter at T (last year he was one of the 5-6 worst true starting LTs in the NFL)? Will Beebe take a step into that same category or maybe even slightly better(he is much close to average than Guyton so its not a big jump for him)? What will rookie RG Booker even look like? Will Steele figure out how to pass block again or did the injuries ruin his ability to do that (his run blocking last year was great but he was a liability in pass pro)? Now if ALL of those questions go the Cowboys way (they probably wont) you still end up with a borderline top 10 OL so hardly dominant.

And a new HC. And new OL coaches. And new OL schemes. And Guyton will have a full offseason. And Beebe will have a full offseason. And Guyton will have year of experience under his belt. And Beebe will have year of experience under his belt. And Steele should be better and if not Richards will be able to take over.

So no it isn't "Because we added a rookie OG?" It's far more than that.

OP said the interior of the OLine could be dominant.
