Oline or Pass rush which unit is better in 25

I'm afraid that will be up to the injury bug.

Our dream scenarios rarely take injuries into consideration but it is a real part of a Dallas Cowboys season.

I will say that I see much better depth for both lines than I have seen in a while.

Assuming injury free starters and rotation personnel, the D-line will have three 2nd round draft picks over the past four years at EDGE with a more experienced Mazi, Osa, and some pretty big guys backing them up with our draft picks along with Solomon Thomas at DT.

The offensive line has great potential in the future but will have another rookie starter with two 2nd year players. I feel they are still a season away from really becoming a force.
Good Post, The injury bug is a major factor every season losing key players really sets your team back. But like you said the depth on both the Oline and Dline have been built up.The overall roster looks really nice ,better since the coaching change. If you look at the players brought in from free agency and the draft .

But let's remember last year the Cowboys were one of the worst rushing offenses in the league. Some of that was because of the RBs, but most of it was the OL.
Don't forget Rush was our QB.........
Just me but I'm careful using ANY of last year's stats for what to expect this year

****Jerry screwed last year from the start by sitting out free agency. Intentionally refused to replace any starters lost via free agency.
**** Lame-duck head coach with a new defensive coordinator trying to install a new defensive scheme IN ONE YEAR.
***** Played most of the season with backup QB

I’m worried Eberflus defense won’t be very dynamic.
His defense as coordinator with the Colts was very good.....I am hopeful we will see similar improvement.

Although Eberflus and Reich had never met, Colts' General Manager Chris Ballard "was very persuasive and very strong in his conviction [to Reich] that Matt was the right guy."[9] Eberflus was credited with instilling an "ultra-demanding culture of hustle, discipline and teamwork"[10] that ultimately helped turn the Colts around from a 4–12 team in 2017 to a 10–6 playoff team in 2018, reaching the AFC Divisional Playoff Round.

Inheriting a defense that finished No. 30 in the NFL in both scoring defense (25.2 points allowed per game) and total defense (367.1 yards allowed per game) in 2017, Eberflus turned the defense around in just one season, to rank No. 10 in scoring defense (21.5 points allowed per game) and No. 11 in total defense (339.4 yards allowed per game) in 2018.

Eberflus's improved the Colts rushing defense from No. 26 in 2017 (120.4 rushing yards allowed per game) to No. 8 in 2018 (101.6 rushing yards allowed per game). The Colts rushing defense allowed just 3.6 yards per carry, good for 6th in the NFL, and did not allow a single 100-yard rusher all season.[12]

Eberflus also improved the Colts' passing defense from No. 28 in 2017 (246.6 passing yards allowed per game) to No. 16 in 2018 (237.8 passing yards allowed per game), doing so with their number one corner, Pierre Desir, already having been waived by three NFL teams since being drafted in 2014, and Kenny Moore II, who was an undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State last season.[13]

Dallas has the interior of the offensive line to be dominate and I believe the tackle play will improve and be a force this season.I have also been hearing that Dallas could challenge the single season sack record with the current pass rushers on the roster. What unit is better in 25 ,the Offensive line or the pass rush.
"Hearing rumors of record breaking DLine."

"Dominant OLine"

Both lines so dominant can't even decide which one will obliterate the competition more.

Holy krap I hate this time of year. Same thing every year

Not to be a party pooper but I think they’ll both be better this year. As for which one will be more dominate I’d have to say the oline has the best chance. The Cowboys are stacked with pass rushers but the interior defensive line is still to be determined. Can Mazi developer a love for football and start to take it seriously or will he play like the bust he’s been showing so far? Can any of the free agents or draft choices on the interior defensive line become something? On the oline they hit on a 3rd rounder in Beebe last year and have proven Tyler Smith and Booker who has great potential. The question there are the tackles. Guyton is in the same boat as Mazi. No more rookie excuses. Time to show you were worthy of the high pick. Either way, the Cowboys took steps to address those weaknesses on both sides of the ball.

Is there anything untrue in that post?
It's not a question of anything being untrue. Yes, we have new coaches. Yes, Beebe and Guyton will have a year under their belts. Sure Steele has the potential to play better. All true. But none of this automatically translates to an improved anything. We are hoping the coaches do better than the old coaches. We are hoping Guyton and Beebe come back a lot better in 2025. We are hoping Steele returns to his pre-injury form. Hence, by question about optimism.

Dak was not very good before he got injured last year. If we get the 2023 Dak, the offense will be much better than last year's. But if Dak comes back and looks like he did last year, the offense might be improved but not enough to win football games.
