Can't say enough about this guy. Glad he's healthy. He made some critical blocks today and looks to be back to his normal health.

This guy is hands down the best blocker on the team.

He adds a real physical presence, too. He's vicious leading through the hole. He doesn't just get in the way, he really tries to blow people up.

I thought he looked a lot better this week than he did last week.

I thought he had a good game on Sunday, but yeah, today he was really on target today. Even when he doesn't push his defender back, it's almost as if they're stunned for a moment and taken out of the play.

The guy hits like a truck and always seems to take out the defensive player that he is assigned to. I see it as no coincidence that our running game hit a bit of a lull when he was out and had arguably its best game of the season today when he was back at full strength.

He may have created the loudest impact of the day today...IIRC, he took on the weakside linebacker with authority...springing JJ for about six yards. It was pretty sweet.

Actually I saw two of his blocks today where he attacked the wrong shoulder of the LB.

We ended up with good runs on both plays though.

Speaking of LBs, that Harris guy (#52) from the Jets is pretty good.

MBIII ended up running through an arm tackle on one of these plays for a nice pickup.

Yep. If the LB had done his job, it goes for a short gain at most.

That said, other then those two plays (the only two I saw) Hoyte was awesome.

I still like Anderson a little more as an overall offensive weapon. No question Hoyte is the superior blocker, by far.

The last couple days I read somewhere that Hoyte still isn't 100%. He looked good at times today.

oh c'mon, whenever there was a thread about Deon Anderson, or his play was mentioned, you'd always chime in with a gem such as, "he's a horrible blocker, we miss Hoyte blah blah blah"

every, single, time, and now this, you're so transparent

Guy couldn't catch a cold, but he can block about as good as any FB in the league.

The ultimate antithesis of Richie Anderson and I love it. Exactly what we need from that position.

I'm not upset, just pointing out something so obvious

Good point. It should also be obvious that i think most all of our starters are better than their backups.

As I watched through gritted teeth and knotted muscles.

You have to admit, he makes you nervous as hell with the ball in space. He should not have the football in his arms but twice a year. And with how good a blocker he is, there's really no need to give him the ball.

except for this isn't a debate about Hoyte and Anderson, it's your little Hoyte agenda pushing
