obviously guys like joe hart, neuer and casillas have arguments but those guys are almost never asked to be otherwordly like howard is for the us.

I don't think he is top 5 and maybe not even top 10, but there really isn't anything wrong with being #11. Below are a couple of top 10 lists for best goal keepers. I agree with most of them although I am not that impressed with Victor Valdes.

the bleacher report article is over a year old. not sure on the other but guessing it is similarly dated.

last year howard had a beast mode season and starting winning acclaim across the pond. he had 12 clean sheets which tied for 7th with reina. BUT he faced 70 more shots than reina last season.

howard had a better season than cech who is my gk with the blues(and is always on top 10 lists). only two EPL goalies allowed 40 or fewer goals and started 38 games. 1 is joe hart who was great but also had a billionaire defense at man city. howard was the second.
