I hope you don't want to take him in the first Kartr. That would be insane.

I would take in the second after taking Brod Bunkley in the first.

because Jacobs didnt quit football to play baseball like Henson. henson is obviously a baseball player who was forced into football. I don't see him ever starting. Jacobs is a football player through and through. he doesnt have to readjust to football, and he doesnt have another sport that he wishes he was playing like Henson. Plus Jacobs has more college experience, and actually has had a complete year with great stats.
There are a lot of things different.

That's the same report I saw. Also, the NFL has had a lot success lately with Mac Qb's. Jacobs also threw for 26 tds in 2005 while missing 2 games. You;re right, he wont have to relearn football like Henson and he played lights out against OU in 2004 and Wisconsin in 2005, so what's not to like. He's also from Florida where they have a top notch prep school program. Seems to me we've had quite a bit of success with players from the state of Florida such as E. Smith and M. Irvin.

And you saw how many games Henson played? You saw how many games Omar Jacobs played? Or you just talking based on what you read now?

I have seen entire college career of Henson pretty much, since I am Michigan fan. I have see couple of games that Omar Jacobs played. One game he looked like a First round pick, on other one, best case 2nd or 3rd rounder. Not exactly consistant, plus he has pretty funky delivery, reminded me of Vince Young, just that Jacobs is more classical High arm, instead for Side arm for Vince. I.e. both do like flick of the ball instead of putting some mustard in the ball, and both don't seem to be that great at throwing Long Balls.

Henson's scouting report was five years old when we signed him, he's not the same player he was then. After all, which big 10 teams did he start against that year, were they any good that year. Henson's scouting report was based on just a few starts, Jacobs has quite a few more starts and has played extensively well recently, 71 tds in two years and about 10-12 ints.
Bernie Kosar had a funky delivery too and he did all right. Phillip Rivers has a funky delivery and he got drafted 10. Has Jacobs delivery hurt his ability to read defenses or throw accurate passes or make good decisions, no. He might be the most polished qb in the draft other than Leinart and will probably make the transition to NFL qb quicker than Vince Young and Jay Cutler. He is flying under the radar cause he comes from a smaller school and was hurt a couple of games. We should definitely take him in the second because next will be a really weak qb draft unless you want to trade all of our picks to get Brady Quinn. You see how well it worked for the Giants in getting Manning.
