I don't blame him for the Parcells' incident. He got shafted from the starting role 2 years in a row by Bill coming here and bringing his retrogrades.

I would have been much happier him starting over the acquisitions of Keyshawn and Terry Glenn. And in hindsight, that vision is even more clear. Those 2 brought us nothing that we couldn't have gotten without them. AB+ could have solidified his career here and been a WR for us for years to come. Both a TO and a RW11 most likely would not have been necessary either. Not too mention, a homegrown.

Just goes to show he has learned NOTHING. Still doing stupid things to get stupid penalties. He has gotten himself tossed by 4 separate teams. There is a REASON for that.

Last time I checked he has been with 4 total teams (Dallas, Cleveland, San Fran, Bucs)

He did get bounced from Dallas, I think San Fran also but he didnt get bounced from Cleveland.
His final year there he had 1009 yards and 4 TDs. Not a horrible season by any standards. The Browns let him walk as a FA though.

He's becoming a stud, just admit it. We are all pissed we let him go, but it did have to be done.

Dallas handled the whole situation poorly. If he had to go, then they should have got rid of him the day he threw the jersey in Parcells' face. They didn't. They kept him up until the trade deadline before getting rid of him. Any message they were trying to get across to Bryant or the rest of the team was lost by then. You either get rid of him on the spot or you don't get rid of him. You don't drag your feet on something like that. They could have even suspended him until they found a trade partner, but they didn't do that, either.

IIRC, it wasn't the towel toss that got him in trouble. It was a report that he was told to come off the field, and he wouldn't, which forced the team to take a timeout.

I also remember rumors about trading AB for LJ (Larry Johnson), but I doubt those were true. There may not have been a trade partner out there. It's not like AB had established himself as an elite receiver. And everyone was aware of his baggage.

that catch was absolutely sick. it's too bad AB didn't get his act together down here. In retrospect I wish he stayed and Parcells left. LOL

Yah, well if you can throw your shirt in a hall of fame coaches face imagine what you would do with a duck like Wade. Parcells still gave him a chance but the kid pouted more than T.O on the sidelines and would purposely run bad routes and drop balls to get the team back. Tampa can keep him.

Who's to say that he would have been the same player had he stayed here?

It appears because of his troubles he has straightened up his life.

But Dallas might have been too much for him.

I heard that too. That's just inexcuseable.

BTW, this discussion is a bit like lover's remorse. Your ex-girlfriend who was cute but was immature in certain areas of her life so you dump her and she goes on to be a super hot Supermodel.

Of course, everyone's going to want her as the Supermodel. But who's to say that she even goes that route had she stayed with you.

Catch was amazing and not surprising to me. I loved Bryant coming out of college and I was so thrilled when Dallas got him. I still wish he could have matured quicker so that he'd still be in a Cowboys uniform cause I always thought he was a darn good WR.

I'm glad to see he finally got his stuff together but I don't miss him at all.
