Well, if you want to look smart on this board, reading my posts is a good starting point...

ROTFLMAO...

But yeah, I first commented on this phenomenon a coupla games ago... that was when the Skins were just 0-8 in games where Campbell threw the ball more than 30 times...

I wonder if anybody has shared this little stat with the gang over at ES?? I'd be REAL interested to see what their take on that one is...

It's a silly, self-selecting stat. The Skins don't like to throw the ball a lot, so they tend to accumulate attempts only in games when they are trailing.

The 0-10 is a little surprising, but the losing record isn't.

I've been shaking my head over that all season long... I don't think there's been any point in the season where Campbell's quarterback rating put him in the league's top 20 QBs, and the announcers are all fawning over him??

That said, for all the ragging I've done of Campbell, and what happens to the Skins when he throws the ball more than 30 times, this is EXACTLY what the Skins needed to be doing if they really think that he's their quarterback of the future... they have to let him go out there and play, make his mistakes, and learn from those mistakes... that is part of the learning curve for virtually every NFL starting QB early in his career...

The only question is, will Campbell learn from these mistakes, or will he always be prone to coughing the ball up because he doesn't sense the pass rush well?? The answer to that question will determine how good or bad he ultimately becomes...

I'm starting to get the feeling that Campbell is a million dollar arm with a ten cent brain; so I'm thinking that he probably won't be learning from his mistakes.

Yes, yes he is.

One of the reasons I've been unwilling to sign up for ES is I'm convinced that somewhere in the fine print, you are required upon registration to submit to a lobtomy...
