I'll be attending the training camp practices on 8/23-8/24!

Has anyone stayed at the OMNI at The Star? They're obviously gouging prices due to their Cowboys connection - but if you have been there, is it worth the price? Or would getting a $100 room elsewhere be just as good?

I'll admit, it's tempting to pay the $350 for a one night stay so that I'll be within walking distance to the practices and I can check other things out.

Any opinions?

If money isn't an issue, pay the 350 and enjoy it brother.

If you live in Near and frequently visit camp, I would pass.

But if it's not something you much, splurge. It's the Cowboys! A lot of us won't get the opportunity to see a camp!

If you do not stay at the Omni it is still very impressive to drive by the facility. I would stay there if the money objection is far down the list.

A majority of the time, it comes down to is the expense worth more for the convenience.
I always pay the little extra. I have done both, go cheaper and save money, and it's about 50 / 50 on it. But pay the extra, it's always worth it. most the time I go with the extra.

To me it is like getting gas, pay the extra 10¢ per gallon, or drive around wasting $2 more total, plus wasted time.
Buy the DVD, CD, Book, Tool, Shirt or whatever at store X for $1 more, or spend $5 in gas and time to drive somewhere else to save $1.

Not quite the difference in money but to get close to there, I'm sure it is still over $100. Plus you have the experience to say you stayed there. That alone for the memories can be worth it.

I work next to The Star. There are plenty of nice hotels around there within a 10-minute drive. I personally would save a few hundred bucks and spend that else where. There are good options around Toyota Stadium and Stonebriar Mall.

Go for it. If you were staying all week that might be a bit much, but for 1 night it seems worth it.

That better come with a cheerleader, a bottle of that Blue, and a night on the town with Zeke.
That would be more like $3500, not $350. If that was $350, Zeke wouldn't even have a career by now from all the compromising situations I would put him in.

What a rip.

Bro, for $349.98/night you can stay at my place nearby.

Amenities include:

*gourmet dinner
*reasonably speedy wifi
*Open bar with top shelf mixers
*AM/FM radio
*pillow mints
*my wife will iron your garments

Make a reservation before midnight and we'll throw in an authentic autographed picture of my family.

Does your wife gjve back rubs...

I'd stay further away and save the extra cash for something else. Those prices are Gaylord prices where the players stay the night before the game.

Check out 3-4 star hotels in Seattle, SF, Portland, LA, SD, and you'll think 350 is a deal. Wow, I can't believe y'all can still get places like Marriott or Hyatt at 100-150 on Booking.com or hotels.com, that's insane. We were in SF last week at a Embassy for almost 400. I do miss the south.
