On that day your Dallas Cowboys lost to the lowly Rams 27-23. The Rams ended up going 6-10 while Dallas went on to win the Super Bowl. That Cowboys team is debated to this day about being one of the greatest of all time and they lost to a pretty bad team. Now I'm not saying this current team is Super Bowl bound or anything but I will say that even good teams have bad weeks. It's taken me a while to get over the loss but we all just have to remember that there's only been one perfect season and good teams lose to bad ones all the time in this league.

I got over the loss almost right away. The Cowboys played without their QB for most of the 2nd half and Scandrick got hurt around that time also. It's hard to win with 2 of your better players not on the field.

skins were without their best pass rusher and they lost o linemen during the game and they were on their 3rd string QB... so your point not so good.

I don't even think they Deadskins are "lowly" to be honest. Their team is a mess personnel wise but aren't they top 10 in offense and defense? Yeah I expected us to win and we should've won but we shouldn't take this loss as hard as we are taking. We lost to a rival. It happens. And its not like our team is flawless themselves.

I mentioned this Rams game after the game Monday night. It is similar in that 92 team had gotten on roll, made the cover of SI for the issue that came out a day after this game and this game we seemed to lose focus a little bit, made some mistakes. Hopefully this team like that team bounces back.

Monday was one of the losses that was tough to get over. Teams lose. It happens. Usually pretty easy to just move on.

I think was really bugged me was taking Weeden out and putting in a CEARLY HOBBLED Romo. He was completely useless once he came back in. I knew it was a loss the second he walked out of the locker room.

Weeden was playing well enough to deserve an opportunity to finish out the game. Putting Romo back in was just a terrible decision. He was completely ineffective and why risk further injury?

Colt might be the best QB on that team right now. Which doesn't say much. Washington has some really good WRs and good RBs.

If Romo doesn't get hurt Dallas probably wins it in regulation and maybe even by double digits.

Its not 1992 and the Cowboys have historically have a problem with back up and it's Washington.

Weeden played okay one drive. But we went away from the run after the 51 yard run. That's pretty much what killed Dallas' chances.

Of course. Seasons are judged over the course of 16+ games, and not one. Especially not an overtime loss to a division rival. There's a long way to go yet. For my part, we dropped a game we could have won, but I was over the loss very quickly. Losing Durant for the year and the injury to Romo were far bigger concerns as far as the season goes.

And I obviously wasn't in the camp of playing an inferior QB in a close game--especially backed up against our own goal line like we were. It was a no-brainer to play Tony Romo when he was cleared to go back in the game.

Not only that, our defense still held them to 17 points in regulation and a field goal in overtime. Our offense just did not get the job done, collectively. Dropped passes, wrong routes, off throws, bad play calls, lack of adjustments.

We were due, eventually, for the offense to have a stinky night. Hopefully it's the only one, and good thing it was after a 6 game win streak. It sucks losing to the Washingtons, but what can you do -- you can't magically pick which team to come out flat against.

Weeden played well because they closed 75% of the playbook for him and went back to power running and play action.

For some reason we thought that after about 10 all-out blitzes out of shotgun that Romo could get back in there and run shotgun again. Murray only had 18 carries in regulation. That is not enough.

And... While he was out of game the backup score as many points... Just saying lol

Weeden should have been left in. Romo should have sat out rest of the game.
He was off on his throws all night it seemed. I was fine with Weeden's play. But they got off on the play calling.

Awful holding call on Ken Norton on a punt cost them 7 points in that one. Hold was called prior to Rams punting the ball and awarded them a first down, kept a drive alive. I've seen that called maybe a hanful of other times.

Offense was out of sync all day, defense couldnt stop Cleveland Gary. Think they did get a long punt return from K-Mart.

Dumb loss, they happen. The payoff 2.5 months later was tremendous though.

Seriously?

The skins had half of their defense on the field.

Wow.

We ran the ball 6 times after Romo got hurt. And the first 2 plays were runs. I get not running it on the last drive trying to score points in regulation so I give a pass there. But 4 run plays on the other 3 or 4 drives.

Our drive in overtime. Should have run more. Almost exclusively.
