On a hopeful note

Stop! you can't compare. This team lacks a good head coach, fundementals and leadership.

10-6 is pretty good bet, wildcard loss.

Yeah I was thinking that... the 10-6 that is...

STILL, at this point I have a hard time believing we are only going one game over .500 over the next 10 games.

I say we right the ship and go 11-5.

6-4 in last 10 games, maybe

How DARE you compare this team to those championship squads.

How dare you.

Of course, imagine if there was the internet in 1971....

I shudder at the response after the Eagles handed us our *** in 1992, or the home losses to the Rams and Commanders, or even the loss to the Dolphins and Falcons in 1993.

Then think how this place would have been after losing back to back in 1977 ;)

Oh you mean like the one today on 3rd and forever where Hightower was able to pick up the first down? lol

Regardless of all the mistakes we made today, and the problems we had on offense, I firmly believe this single play was the difference between winning and losing this game. We had momentum at that point and forcing another punt would have been huge. A little bit of luck (tipped pass) and poor tackling on that play. While other plays also had a huge impace on the outcome, this play set the table for everything that happened from that point on. That and the fact that we screwed the pooch offensively after recovering the onside kick attempt.

In 1971 we lost to the 4-8-2 Saints and the 6-8 Bears.

Imagine the outcry from the "you need to beat the teams you should to win the Super Bowl" crowd

I think that is exactly why I don't really get all amped up after a team plays us well.

Mickey Spagnola said it was a foot contusion and that the x-rays were negative

Wade Phillips was also on the injury report though with a torn colon

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Now that's funny...what isn't funny is that most of us fans are in the same boat.:(

Folk missing his earlier FG made a difference as well. It seemed like he hooked two of his extra points and that fg badly, so am I the only one that wasn't thinking he was going to hit that final fg without a hook? Man, I was so proud of him drilling it.
