naturally they were doing the 'around the league' segment and when it came to the Cowboys they showed Wade at the presser saying we are still in it and not to quit, etc
after the clip ended they asked Michael Lombardi what his take was and I have to admit, he hit it on the head when he said-
'Wade just needs to stop that body language on the sideline of a puppy dog that will not get his bone when something stupid happens and also to stop taking a whoe is me' attitude when talking about the team's chances and just suck it up and show a bit of leadership ......and that certain things will not be tolerated like missing kicks over and over and looking for excuses to cover his players.

I really hope we don't get the season down to the last game against Philly with everything on the line and get blown out 44-6 again. I do believe if that happens, when the gun sounds to end the game and the team is running into the tunnel to the dressing room, Wade will be stopped at the entryway by Jerry himself with the pink slip in hand

He could sure use the Bill Parcels "Stare" when his players screw up and walk off the field.

Lol...Good point, but I like it when a coach demands something better on a player than the ole..."You'll get him next time" approach.

A new Coaching staff would be a nice Christmas present.

Lombardi said this morning on the musers that because of the structure jerry has created....all the coaches here are independent contractors and dont work together.

so new coaches will have the same problem.

Agreed. Like Brooking says...I honestly believe Wade is a little more harsh in a filmroom/meeting room......

Why would this year be any different? I guess the answer is that he doesn't have to give him a pink slip because his contract will have expired.

To be fair He was a big part of turning this team from a laughing stock to atleast compete against the rest of the league. before Him I didnt even like watching the sorry excuse of a team we would put on the field.

Not winning a Playoff the first time was because we overachieved the first year and the second we got conservative.

Unless he concedes a degree of control similar to the Johnson and Parcells eras. That would include a house cleaning of the current staff. The primary criteria for any coach being retained should be the new HC's desire to keep him.

Umm somewhat agree...it was Jerry and Bill getting good players in.

You got to remember we were in salary cap hell the campo years. Hard to win with no cap space.

We need a new coaching staff but that is only part of it. We also need a lot different culture of players in here. We've got several very talented guys that I absolutely wouldn't want off this team but there are quite a few guys that we need to start thinking about upgrading from and replacing. Some of them are even good to solid players but they're just not good enough or solid enough to help the team get to where we'd like to see them go.

Yeah like Parcells didn't achieve one of the greatest turnarounds in the post cap era with some of the worst talent in the league. Doesn't matter if you don't like the guy or even his gameday coaching (I didn't) but to overlook the professionalism that he reinstated here is stupid.

Beyond the self-motivated solid core of players, you've got to believe that there is a 2nd tranche of salvageable players that will respond to strong and effective leadership. Then there are zeros like Carpenter that just need to be gone.

Parcells kept a number of the "old" staff.

Wade has the same amount of control that Bill had.

On the nosey.

It's not about what we see during the game that matters...it's what happens on the practice field...in meetings...and behind closed doors.
