This is the greatest myth of the JG era. Between all the games they came out flat and all the games they got blown out in the second half, it's absolutely not true.
And playing hard is an EXPECTATION, not an achievement. The Dolphins played hard for Dan Campbell, doesn't mean he was a good coach.
True.
This team has a lot of problems when it comes to being prepared to start games.
I have always considered it to be our worst fault under Garrett.
Take our playoff game against the Packers in 2016.
The biggest game of the Garrett era and they come out flat and spot the Packers 28 points and the game was over by halftime
Yes, the team came back but that had as much to do with the Packers cruising to the end with a big lead and their defense playing soft to try to run out the clock.
And too often..we spot teams 7-14 pts early in games and spend the rest of the game scrambling to get back in it.
In 2016 we started out with going downfield and grabbing the lead for about the first 10 games and that is when the offensive struggles began.
And has only gotten worst.
This to me is a big lack of getting the players focused as a whole. And Garrett never mentions why this constantly occurs.
BTW..that game is one of DAKs best games as a pro. And most of us thought it was nothing but onwards and upwards for him after that.
But it has been nothing but struggle to repeat since.
So our problems with this offense are over almost 2 full seasons
Linehan is the problem..
When the NFL gets extended looks at what you are doing and you don't change..
You die.
