As frustrated as I am (and I know y'all are), this thought just occured to me:

The difference between 3-5, and 5-3 is a missed field goal and a pinky-tip "out of bounds". That's it...

Against two of the very best teams in the NFL, we held our own but just came up 'that much' short.

So maybe, just maybe, out of this tough as hell stretch of teams and games, there is some silver lining around the bend and some hope?

You're going to be a whole lot more frustrated if you don't face reality and soon.

Good point and the eight teams we played have a 32-10 record. The remaining 8 games have only the Steelers with a winning record I believe. Definately have a chance to string together a nice second half.

Season ain't over... 10-6 with our defense and talent is possible. And a playoff berth is possible!

Look at the NY Giants?! They had NO RIGHT even making the playoffs last season. We make ONE field goal, twice in the season... and they are out.

But, they made it in, oh so barely, and got hot. And this team, it can get hot and get on a roll.

Is it dominant? No. Is it a dynasty? No. But a solid run can happen and come out of nowhere.

One field goal. One pinky out of bounds. The difference is just that little.

The talent myth is fading. The offense doesnt score points, and the defense doesnt get turnovers. The special teams are a disaster waiting to happen. The talent here is completely overrated. That doesnt even touch on the puppet in charge of these guys.

i appreciate your faith.

i'm with ya.

go cowboys!!

next year we might do something.

Besides the beatdown in Seattle the Cowboys have been in every game until the end. They can compete it's just they fall short in the very end on fundamental mistakes.

The second half stretch run starts next week in Philly. Get the win!!

Uhh Chicago ring a bell? That game was so funny the players were laughing on the sidelines.

oops..Forgot about that one.:banghead:

Can't stand the Bears though. That team is fools gold IMO..Sooner or later their offence will have to provide scoring when the opportunities don't come through on defence or special teams. We will see how good the Bears are when they face a good Texans team sunday night. So far the only team with a winning record the Bears have faced was a Green Bay team that destroyed them.

It feels like we are "Almost" always close to doing something

yup been that way several times over the last 15 years we just seem to always find a way to come up short. This franchise has a losing culture and frankly it would take blowing up the whole thing to get rid of it.

I don't really see barely losing as something to be happy about

The bright spots for me this year have been the play of players like Claibourne and Carter. The future on the defensive side looks pretty bright now. Both will only get better

I think we said the same thing about Witten, Ware, Romo about 5 years ago.

The future will be bright again when Jerry is gone...period. As long as he is in charge, nothing will change with this team. It hasn't in 16 years, soon to be 17. Do you really think next year will be different? If so, why??
