Once again, Jerry will dig into his cliche bag and pull out another gem

Well, normally I'm one of the ringleaders for Jerry bashing.

However, I think he's on to something this year. I think it's a throwaway and we're going to end up with a high-end head coach and quarterback next season.
I think he finally realizes it's going to take a quarterback and a head coach to get to a super bowl, and he's running out of years. He's finally figured out it's better to be a Super Bowl winning GM and owner than an epic failure puppet string puller year after year.

This is the turning point.
Bro, I hate to rain on your parade here, but he hasn't learned a damn thing. He s already talking about using our picks to go get players to save the season this year. Jerry will die trying to show everyone how much smarter he is than everyone else. He is a case study on Dunning-Kruger.

You may be right, but I think for years He's had the option of playing around and trying to be the man, because mortality wasn't an issue.
But trust me, Jerry would love to raise that trophy. One more time.
he now realizes what it's going to take to get it here, the question now is simply, who is going to be the guy he hires. I really believe Quinn gave him a great example of what a good coach can do to motivate a football team.

We have plenty of dudes in their sixties or older here at the Zone who will fight tooth and nail to defend Jerry and their memories of the days of yore.
"Plenty"?
Who?

.....end up with a high-end head coach and quarterback next season.
No HC worth anthing is going to want to come and deal with this mess and Jerry. The QB in question is going to be here for another 3 - 4 seasons. best get used to this, it's only going to get worse as that contract gets older.

who would want to come here???? Sounds great though
This team is not in as dire straits as everybody believes. We have built a potentially awesome, offensive line.We have solid dbs, and we're adding some pieces to the DL
All we need is coaching.
Ohh, and a quarterback.
Then you've got 4 or 5 high picks over the next 2 years to add some really solid players to fill out the puzzle.
We have the opportunity to become the 1990 Cowboys again.

then why does he say he believes that we're a playoff team? And why be 'open for business' to unload draft picks to improve this year?
Because he can't say I'm throwing away the season LOL.

I find it interesting how the discussion around liking or disliking Jerry Jones is often presented as a pivotal point for the Cowboys franchise.

The reality is that our opinions, whether positive or negative, likely have no impact on the organization. As a private entity, the Cowboys are not swayed by fan sentiment. Fans who express strong dislike for Jerry Jones still watch games with the same dedication as those who defend him. The phrase "Jerry loves you..." often used as a taunt among fans, strikes me as quite immature.

Once again, Jerry will dig into his cliche bag and pull out another gem, to sell to the Cowboys sheep that continue to believe
in this organization. We refer to this as.......FOOLS GOLD.

But doesn't matter because this FOOLS GOLD organization will still be the #1 Sports franchise on Forbes Listing, which is the real Superbowl for business people like Jerry.
:hammer:Yes, and the masses will eat it up like a lamb to a slaughter.

Jerry already stated after the game that he thinks this is a playoff team with championship qualities. Even for him, this is nutty.

It's besides the point. We all need therapy sessions after the last 30 years so this MB allows us to vent. It's a good thing. We understand nothing we say will matter. So what.

Ive been waiting for the bright light at the end of the tunnel for over a quarter of a century. Honestly, it has gotten to where it doesnt bother me anymore when they get beat. Its to the point where there are better things in life than pull for a team that doesnt try to improve.

I see no evidence Jerry has learned anything the past three decades. What behavior changes have you noticed?

It’s a lock we will see more of the same from Jerry and the list of his miscues is as long as the list of his affairs and NDAs.

We know who Jerry is, and the only behavior change I have observed in the past few years is he has become even more defiant about micromanaging every facet of this team. Trading Micah is a great example of Jerry inflicting harm on this own franchise, just to prove who is in charge in Dallas, winning be damned.

If winning playoff games and championships are important to our fan base, then we must recognize when our owner is defiantly giving us the finger.

Jerry understands profit margins. Period. As long as the team is financially solvent, he's winning. Hate to be that blunt but it's reality.

 Don't talk with him. Watch football. There is pride in professionals.
