One of Prescott's Better Games

IMO this was Dak's worse game. He had 2 turnovers and dropped another one that miraculously got recovered by our guy. But when you can hand off to Zeke and watch him and the OL destroy a supposedly great Packers run defense, and the defense gets you 4 turnovers, it allows the QB a little more room for error. And he was good enough to win under those circumstances.

On the other hand, this was Zeke's (and the OL's) best game. The Packers were supposed to be great against the run. They had given up 171 yards on 86 carries in the first 4 games combined. 2.0 yards per carry. Our running game destroyed them, 191 yards on 33 carries - 5.8 yards per carry. We had 1 negative running play, for a loss of 3 yards. Outside of that our running game simply crushed the Packers defense and because of it guys were running wide open later in the game. They couldn't stop our run and had to commit everything to trying. It was also by far David Irving's best game, it's amazing we found that guy on the street.

Dak struggled at points in the game (and also made some beautiful throws at others), but the QB doesn't always have to win the game. Sometimes he just has to not lose it. Dak didn't come close to losing this game for us, which is why we won going away.

What this game proved is the guy is human after all. I was relieved when he threw that int to tell you the truth. Got that monkey off his back. As far as 2 fumbles, well GB is no fluke. Can always tell you have a good player on your team when they mistakes and they still stand up and help team win like he did.

Brady has 4 super bowl rings. Apples to oranges.

And I'm not sure if you've noticed, but we're 5-1 with Dak. So Romo gives us the best chance to win? What have we been doing these last 5 weeks? Not winning?

Oh the tired SB argument to lessen Romo.

Romo being the best chance to win does not mean that Dak is incapable of winning.

We can hope. He still looked more like a rookie and far from elite today.
What did Aaron Rodgers look like? What did Tony Romo look like in 2014 to Green Bay? My case is rested. Run along now.

Rodgers looked like crap. Romo looked Elite in 2014. You have no case. You're QB analysis has been proven to be poor.

Okay, you guys are forcing me to go on a rant here.

Dak Prescott played like most great QBs play in a game of this magnitude. He had some mistakes as any QB would playing in a tough environment without his Top Receivers and others on the team. Aaron Rodgers made the same mistakes but could not over come them. Dak was able to brush them off, and move his team down the field. In the 2014 Green Bay vs Cowboys game, Aaron made mistakes but were able to overcome them. That's what QBing is. You make mistakes and overcome them, it's when you make the mistake that counts.

The INT Dak made was pretty much void since Green Bay was already on their 5 yard line and should have scored anyways. So his play was not detrimental to the team. His fumble came earlier in the game when we were ahead. These things are the difference between choking and not choking.

The guy played a phenomenal game, his best game IMO and kicked the snot out of Green Bay. This here Ladies and Gentlemen is your starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys. I suggest you all get behind him right now .

Throwing a fade on 4th down to Dez Bryant is why Romo HAS NEVER AND NEVER will win a Super bowl. You go for the first, not the home run.

This is just evidence that you don't understand the game, and especially QB play.

This is nonsense. His INT was horrible. Period. The fact that the defense made a stop just prior to that point and got a turnover does not make it any less so. The fact that the defense held GB to a fg afterwards (thanks Rodgers) does not change this. This is a team game, not a QB game.

This "when you make the mistakes" that counts is just absolute utter garbage. It's the kind of thing that only a Romo hater could dream up.

I've won 3 championship games, not as an NFL pro, but I know quarterback play. Here is a fact. Romo is not a super bowl-winning type of quarterback. He's a scrub quarterback who wins in the regular season. When the bright lights are on he always fails. Those are facts.

The future is now. Dak Prescott

Educate us on the game then. Let's say the Dez TD stood...then you gave Rodgers plenty of time to come back and score on our defense (which was not unlikely that day), vs making the first down which is the higher percentage play and running down the clock continuing the drive and possibly going in for the winning score without giving the Pack a chance to respond to the score.

And proof you don't understand what a fact is. Or what a team game is.

You always take a score when you can. They were losing. You don't try to dink and dunk if the opportunity to score is there, and you don't ignore your reads and the coverage either.

Your quarterback is a scrub, and I wish they would trade him right now.

I've tried to stay out of this argument, but guys like you forced me right back in. I think Tony knows his time is almost up here in Dallas. If you don't like Dak Prescott, you might as well move to another team.

No...you don't take a score whenever you can. For example, let's say that there is 2 minutes left on the clock, the opposing team has used all their timeouts and your running back has broken free on a long run with a clear path to a TD that would put you 8 points ahead (say you are leading by 1)...the proper play for the RB is to stop at the 5 yd line and let the QB then take 3 kneel downs - game over.

I guess I wasn't clear. In that situation, you always take the score. They had some distance to go to get a TD still. Say they get a first down and then stall and never get a chance to give the defense a lead. The first priority is to score. You worry about milking the clock later. If they only needed a FG to take the lead, that might be different.

Go away, hater.

I have 2 QBs (3 if you count Sanchez).

One is one of the elites of the league and absolutely needs to play when healthy.
One is a promising rookie who has done well filling in for the elite guy.

I want both to do well. I don't dislike either, like you do.
