Dak reads defenses just fine.

Dak throws the fade too. See his preseason and college tapes.

Romo does check out of bad plays but so what. Linehan has been calling some really good plays to throw the defense off balance. We have not missed anything with Dak at QB.

The point, which you obviously missed, is that just as there are things Dak does better than Romo, there are things Romo does better.

By the way, Dak does NOT throw that goal line fade as well as Romo. He hasn't mastered that back shoulder pass in the red zone. Dallas tried it a few times in the first two weeks, but we haven't seen that play called since.

That interception Dak threw yesterday was a direct result if a lack injury of familiarity with Witten. Romo sees that coverage, and he knows immediately which way Witten is turning on that option route. Dak thought he would break outside when Witten went inside. Romo would have you read the DB and known Witten was going to be inside. That's (reading the coverage at an advanced level) is something will improve with experience, but only through experience. Romo, on the other hand, can do it now.

Finally, yes, Linehan has been excellent with the playcalling this season. But you are being very naïve if you think the ability to check out of bad plays is not crucial. As good as Green Bay's defense was, there are still tougher teams on the schedule defensively. Minnesota and Philadelphia, for instance. Dak is going to see looks he's never seen from those teams. He may do just fine – from what we've seen so far, I imagine he will. Nonetheless, there is no denying that Romo will not encounter any defense of the look that he hasn't seen before. Which brings me back to my original point… There are things Romo does better.

Continue to argue but the proof has been laid out. Show me the Super Bowls. Show me the NFC championship games.

Show me where Romo was the only person playing… All 11 positions on offense and defense…

you can't hold one person accountable for every win and loss. The entire team has responsibilities. Dallas failures have been on many people besides Romo. He's made his share of mistakes, but he is not the reason they lost in Green Bay in 2014. He's not the only reason they lost in Minnesota in 2009, against the Giants in 2007 , or Seattle in 2006.

I'm a Romo fan myself and I know pretty much what Romo can do. The problem is that how will this affect team chemistry? How will this effect the momentum we have going right now.

There is a reason why play calling is better now. Its because Linehan is using Dak's mobility to throw defenses off. So that ability in which Romo changes plays based on the defenses look is being overhyped and really not a big issue.

I prefer our style of offense right now. Where we consistently create 1st downs after 1st downs and we wear them out. That is what I believe Dak brings to the table. We don't need to make changes anymore based on what the defense is showing us especially when they can't stop our offense.

I understand your reasoning, and I think you understand mine as well. The biggest test will come this next game against Philadelphia. Jim Schwartz is a very imaginative and creative defense of coordinator. I happen to think the "Audible" Game will be far more important against them that it has been so far this season. If Prescott can adapt, adjust, and overcome the barrage of looks the Eagles defense will throw at him, i'll be far less skeptical.

That's not a knock on Prescott by the way… I don't believe it's fair to criticize him for not knowing something at this stage of his career. Some of these things will only come to experience.

The Eagles are not as good a club as the Cowboys and will be easily defeated.

When you show me the Super Bowl titles and the NFC championship games, then we can talk. Until then, it's time to see what Dak can do.

The flaw in your line of thinking is paining wins and losses, Super Bowl's and conference championship games, on one person. Dan Marino must have been a terrible quarterback.

I don't think they're really using Dak's mobility that much, and even less to throw defenses off. What they are doing is taking advantage of defenses aggressive attempts to stop the run. They are countering tendencies like they haven't in the past and they are setting up mismatches and big plays through scheme.

Outside of a few QB keepers, Dak's mobility hasn't really come into the play design much.
