one play thats forgotten

Read the post to which I responded. Alan said Kiwanuka "had clear sailing into FG range," and the Giants would have scored on us. I was pointing out that the ball would have been at the 40. Kiwanuka fumbled on his own, and the ball would have been at the Giants' 40 no matter who recovered.

Was not talking about the place of the ball or if they would have scored or not.

It sounded like you were implying that they thought Hurd caused the fumble.

That was the only part I was commenting on.

If I was wrong of what you were implying, than my bad.

You obviously haven't had much experience whacking a Sicilian over the head.

:D

Sicillian or not...I imagine that acrylic would do some major damage.

I bet that thing weighs a ton.

Oh...getting off topic again.

Over 20,000 posts and you'd think by now, he'd at least read before responding.

Gotta give props to Sam Hurd for hustling back to recover the Kiwanuka fumble, that could have been points for the gints.:starspin
Yup. If my memory serves, he was the only white shirt in the vicinity.

How the heck did Jim Finn recover that Barber fumble?

Wow. That was impressive.

That was crazy.

All those guys right there and finn comes from what, 5-10 yards away, to recover the fumble.

Crazy stuff.

DeMarcus didn't see it when it initially occured, it sat there for an eternity before anyone pounced upon it.

Hurd didn't cause the fumble, he just recovered it. Had the Giants recovered, they would have had the ball at their own 40. That wouldn't have guaranteed them any points. (On their next possession, they went 5 yards backward and punted.)

I never said that Hurd caused the fumble. I said, I believe, that if Kiawanuka, however it is spelled, HAD NEVER FUMBLED ON HIS OWN there is no telling how far he could have run. You can bet it would have been closer than the 40, and at that point in the game already down 7-0 they would have had all the momentum. As it turns out we got a break, and that is it.

I wasn't implying that you said Hurd caused the fumble. I'm just saying that Hurd didn't do anything spectacular on the play. He recovered the fumble, thank goodness, and we turned it into points. But if the Giants had recovered, I don't think they would have scored.

Appead the gints had put together a little bit of a "convoy", to escort Kiawanuka for some additional yardage.........

OK. I understand. I will move on after this as we did win the game. The point I was making that the biggest play of the game might have been Kiawanuka's FUMBEL...I don't care who recovered it. If HE DOES NOT FUMBLE THEY WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN IN FIELD GOAL RANGE AT LEAST BY THE TIME HE WAS TACKLED!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T CARE WHO RECOVERED IT. The recovery wasn't what I was talking about, but the fact that he FUMBLED AT ALL!!!!!!
