The first game all season it appears he showed some explosivness. That is a postive that he is getting better. We need to quit being so darn obvious with our running game. But, I know its the feeling of the entire board. Look at the postive, Julius appears to be getting better.

160 of our 200 yards he was the only one of offense that played good.

I thought JJ was great. Did any of you see any holes to run thru all game

Wow, didn't realize he had 160. That's pretty good. What was the rushing/receiving breakdown?

74 rushing + 88 receiving.

His receiving totals yesterday are a bit misleading though. Jones had 48 yards receiving on the last drive when the Giants were playing prevent defense and were more than happy to let JJ catch the ball underneath.

Good point jlust22 about them letting Jones catch the underneath stuff at that point in the game.

Geez man, you couldn't just let me feel good about one little thing?

The other positive is that he actually caught passes and looked like a threat out of the backfield in the passing game. Last season and early this year everytime we throw to him it was 50/50 he would catch the ball. His hands were awful and he even looked uncoordinated in trying to catch some of those passes, especially that one last year where he got injured. He looked great catching the ball yesterday, making a few pretty good catches on some not so well thrown passes. It looks like we can actually run a screen now.

We all know this OL is close to being one of the worst the Cowboys have had in many years, but JJ would be helped if the Cowboys weren't so insanely predictable with their play-calling.

Defenses almost always let running backs catch the ball underneath. But still, Julius converted on two third downs and a fourth down on that drive.
