I see your point, but if both make it, you have a tie. The first team can kick the PAT or go for two. The 2nd team goes for 2 if down 7 or can go for 1 if down 6. The point is, we are trying to eliminate tie scenarios.
Remember the coin toss decides who gets the ball first in OT.....
Yeah, but I'm not worried about tie scenarios as much as I am an even playing field. However, I guess that already would exist since would know need a td and they go for it on 4th down if they needed to. It would create an interesting choice for the first team whether or not to go for two.
