Nors let me help you out

Dat> Shanle

Shanle playing with Dat hurt has NOTHING to do with the D, he does not play CB, S or DL, he is one player, and when Dat comes back our D will stillbe dominant and will still be shutting peopledown. Bottom line, you lose game over.

Again - How many points has Shanle's army given up in 2 games?

You'd be killing him if we lost. Fact is we are rocking without Dat.

Fact is we are rocking because our DL is getting pressure, becuse Ware has been a force, because our CBs have been holding teams down, Shanle has done NOTHING, to hurt or help the D...get over your infaction for bench warmers, thats all they are.

maybe - but Shanle has stepped in and we are 2-0.

Nothing missed = fact.
For what it's worth, we're also 2-0 since I bought my Bledsoe Jersey.

Could it be that this purchase has spurred the defense to play lights out?

I see no other option!

P.S. I think this defense is growing up, is getting better every week, and will be only better once Dat is healthy... depth and options. Everyone, including Shanle, has a role to play and I hope he continues to play it. Dat is a bona fide playmaker, though, and I hope to see him back soon.

Last time I looked Dat was a Cowboy, and Shanle was a Cowboy, .. I'm glad I don't feel the need to choose.

The Cowboys are 4-2.

It is posts like this one, and the ones about Price and Bledsoe too, that become so annoying that life long fans actually find themselves having a difficult time not pulling for certain players to fail just to shut you up.

That is some skill you have that fans of 30 plus years are conflicted and can't just sit back and enjoy a win.

You should be proud.

Thanks, unfortunately the hijacking came in reply number 1. I still think it's pretty impressive that we were able to win without our starting RB and while averaging under 3 yards per carry.

Shanle is better suited for our defense. He is bigger than Dat. Dat is a warrior alot of heart but I believe Shanle is the better start. Anyways it is a real nice problem to have either way. Both can play.

Ahhh, but our DL is only getting pressure because the devastating force known as Shanle is back there to cover for their mistakes... with Dat, they had to play more conservatively, because he's clearly not the force that Shanle is...

Demarcus Ware has only been a force because he has that dynamo known as Shanle beside him, forcing other teams to double him, thereby leaving Ware with a single blocker to beat...

And the CBs, well, the CBs are free to focus on tight man coverage because they know they don't have to worry about making any tackles in the running game, with the powerhouse known as Shanle patrolling sideline to sideline...

Face it, the coaches are idiots for not recognizing the all-World talent of Shanle, and making him the centerpiece, the key cog, of their defense right from the start... he's clearly FAR superior to Dat, and is in fact the ONLY reason the Cowboys' defense has played better the last two games...

This reading has been taken from the Gospel According to Nors, the Book of Shanle... can I get an Amen from the congregation??

We will now turn our hymnals to page 23, and sing "(Scott) How Great Thou Art"...

From now on, whenever a poster says something silly, for the sake of stirring the fecal matter, we should just say "the Nors is strong in that one"... ;)

We won this game without Julius Jones. Now there have been quite a few people who think JJ hasn't been playing as well or that he's struggled more than last year. But I don't agree. I think he's been doing terrific any time he's had a hole. Unfortunately our blocking hasn't been great. Today we went with a RB by committee and averaged a whopping 2.4 yards per carry over 38 rushes. Winning a game when you run 38 times and still don't break 100 yards as a team is no minor accomplishment. The Giants run D is not terrible, but nothing special IMO. If we had JJ I fully expect he would have run for more than 100 yards by himself. So in that light we played a pretty good game on offense, overcoming the loss of a major contributor like JJ.

Then on the other side of the ball, we played without Dat. Shanle seems to be playing well, but he's probably not as good as Dat or he'd be starting.

You know, I was wondering how Dallas would fare without Julius Jones. We found out. Dallas became a little more one dimensional relying on the pass.

If you remember two weeks ago, after the Oakland debacle, I was highly critical of the Cowboys (like calling them spineless pansies). I was especially critical of the inside linebackers (namely Dat, James and Shanle).

Apparently, I wasn't the only one challenging the Cowboy's manhood. Even though I seriously doubt any inside linebacker will make the Pro Bowl anytime soon, they have stepped their game up.

However, keep this in mind:

The Eagles and Giants featured their passing games moreso than their running games. So the play of the inside backers will be much more crucial against the Seahawks (Alexander 141 yds, 4 TDs).

Hopefully, Dallas will bring a much better defense than Houston (boy, do they stink).
