Like you I watched our 'Boys go down in flames.

I complained some after the game.

I questioned this, and that.

Like you I was bummed out, .. devasted that our season was done.

It's now several hours later, I just finished watching post game interviews, .. I just finished watching Brooking's pre-game talk.

One thing hasn't changed, I still love this team!, and I have great confidence in them moving forward.

I am proud of what we accomplished this season and look forward to next year already.

We have great leadership and work ethic, and a tremendous nucleus for next season.

We will add certain players and get rid of others in an effort to improve the roster.

We will get better. I am optimistic.

I love the Dallas Cowboys and I can't wait until next season.

This is totally the opposite of the way I felt when the season ended last year.

I can drink to that.

To me we've been in the 2010 season for about 5 hours now and I'm already looking foward to the next time we take the field.

We got beat by a good team with a chip on their shoulder. Even if they are major jerks.

Man you are so wrong. Haven't you heard we need to start all over. We are terrible.

I can't disagree, WV. I know a lot of people need some sort of immediate satisfaction in cases like this, and that the only way to provide it is to blow up the whole darn thing and start firing people tomorrow. Do that, and I guess they figure the loss served some purpose.

But I like what we're doing. If there's "a" coach I have questions about, it's Garrett. The season's now in the books, and my criticisms of him are this: The offense was simply stagnant for too many games (Green Bay, Washington at home, San Diego, today). There are a number of reasons, I'm sure, but the points scored are what they are. I think some of it lies in deficincies in personnel, while some of the fault is with his ability to adjust.

I also ultimately don't know if he showed the best judgment in his utilization of the three backs. The way we used Roy and Bennett in the passing game was also, at times, perplexing.

Some of that might be his fault, or maybe none of it is. But those are my primary criticisms of the offense.

Yea, I've heard that. But I disagree, sounds like you do too.

I am not happy with this loss, the way we lost or the way it ended.

But I know we have character on this team now, and we will be better next year.

At least that is what I'm hanging my hat on this off-season.

Like I said in my OP, I didn't feel this way last season.

Last season I seperated myself from the Cowboys for several months. For me, this season was different, and so I think next year will be even better.

But that's just me, maybe I'm the only one.

I stopped watching this gutless bunch at halftime.

The Cowboys I knew finally showed up today.

If you guys enjoy getting your guts stomped out to end every season then all I can say is have at it.

I guess some of you will want me to turn in my fan card.

Oh wait, I guess I'm just not really a fan.

Sickening.

I just think for the first time in a long time, we are getting close, and starting over would be ludicrous.

Yes I totally disagree. But one thing I have learned coming to this board is that we have some of the worst fans of any team in the league. I mean the whole season sucked and all these players ans coaches are a joke.

Nobody enjoys losing.

How many teams are there in the NFL? 32

How many of them played this weekend? 8

How many finish the season on top? 1

This season was better than last, and my gut feeling is this team will be working their butts off this off-season to make next year better than this one.

I like this team, I will stick with them to see what happens next year.

Compared to how the season ended last year, with so many problems to deal with, I am EXCITED right now. This game aside, this season was good for a lot of reasons and they're reasons that should make you excited about next year:

*Spencer is becoming the powerful OLB we'd hoped he'd become.

*Jenkins is becoming the dominating CB we'd hoped he'd become.

*Austin is a legit #1 WR (gotta find a legit #2, though Ogletree could get a shot)

*Doug Free showed Dallas that they have depth at OL for at least 2 positions; he could possibly be in line for a starting job at LT.

*Romo improved his ball security (this game aside) and played as smart as ever.

*Dallas has quality depth at TE and RB.

*Ratliff is a monster.

*Coach D turned the kick/punt coverage/return squads completly around.

They are far from perfect and could use some new players at certain positions (K, FS, ILB). But man, there is a lot to build on for next year.

Yes, I'm bummed about losing, a trip to the SB would have been awesome, but it's not the doom and gloom of last season.

OOOH...and Dallas did sweep the Commanders and Eagles (3 games!) so...yeah :)

I love this team; I think the team has quite a few pieces that are real talented and a solid group around the talent. I just do not think the Head Coach is a very good head coach. I think the coaching staff needs to be blown up and time to move on in a Head Coach that commands more respect. It does not have to be a tyrant like Parcell's but we do need a coach that has a little more of a firm hand IMO

And if most of the posters on this board were in charge there would be 31 coaches fired at the end of the season.

What ticks me off is the way this season ended. I did believe in this team.

I can honestly say that I never felt good about the Cowboys winning this game today. I kind of figured it would be tough to go into Minnesota and win.

I did believe though that this team would not get whipped to the point of embarassing themselves and the fans. I thought this team was beyong that.

I guess not.

Last season ended 44-6 and this season 34-3 What is next year 24-0?

I am just not sure as a whole if our players are football smart enough. That is what scares me.

Even with the scores being what they were, this year and last ended totally different for me.

This game was still in reach after 3 quarters. It could have been 17-9 if Suisham had made those FG's.

The bottom fell out in the 4th.

I can't disagree with you, because you are factually correct. For me though, it feels worse. I expected something of this team and not so much last years team. I thought this team was different.

I have not lost hope for next year, but my goodness...

This team took several steps forward this season, .. but I think their best football is still ahead of them.

We'll see.

You only get so many chances in the NFL to get this far. I just hope we can return here soon with better results. *deep sigh*
