You only get so many chances in the NFL to get this far. I just hope we can return here soon with better results. *deep sigh*

That is what is so scary. I mean look how healthy this team was. No guarantees in the NFL. This team was hot, had momentum, and healthy. Translated into one playoff win and one playoff beat down.

Me too, but there are no guarantees though are there?

Keep the faith my friend, I think this team will still be hungry next season.

I am just glad that I read something that wasn't all doom and gloom. With the amount of players that are locked in for next year I think we should do better next year. If you think about it, this year was about getting that monkey off their backs and shooting it in the head, no wins in Dec, Wade never won in the playoffs, no playoff win in 13 years and let's not forget that everybody expected the Saints to roll over the Cowboys.

Now that they have playoff experience I think that will help them do better next year.

But I know we have character on this team now, and we will be better next year.
That character shined through so brightly yesterday....

What would have discouraged you? The team refusing to get off the bus to the stadium?

What's sad about this is how desperate many Cowboy fans are to see positive signs after all these years of futility, as though this season showed some great progress.

Winning one WC game was hardly an earth shattering event. Jerry Jones is still making all the calls, and Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett are still the coaches. The situation has changed very little from a year ago. Except that another year in the career of some very good football players has been wasted without even sniffing the SB.

I have cheered up somewhat, now looking forward to 2010. I kinda expected a loss, what I didnt expect was a 31 point beat down. I also came to the conclusion today as I was watching us get our arse kicked, that the Vikes are just better.

Sometimes that is the hardest thing for fans to accept, that the other team is just better.

Losing is discouraging, .. losing by that margin is discouraging.

But if you can't see any progress this season over the recent past, I don't know what to tell you.

I agree that the Vikes are better, but not 31 pts better.

We came out initially and were as strong if not even stronger than the Vikes. We were moving the ball, we just couldn't get a spark. If we had gotten the lead early, things could have been different.

Playing the Vikes from behind, in that stadium, is almost impossible. Had we been able to get up on them like we did in N.O., .. you never know.

But we just couldn't find that spark to get going, and in the 4th qtr the bottom fell out.

Had we played this game in Dallas things could have been different. Something to shoot for next year.

This was their day, but I see a much better team in Dallas now than I have in quite a while.

This was a rough day to be sure, but every team that lost last week or this week feels the same way.

Moving forward, I'll be anxious to see what changes are made, and how that improves us as a team next season.

Like you I watched our 'Boys go down in flames.

I complained some after the game.

I questioned this, and that.

Like you I was bummed out, .. devasted that our season was done.

It's now several hours later, I just finished watching post game interviews, .. I just finished watching Brooking's pre-game talk.

One thing hasn't changed, I still love this team!, and I have great confidence in them moving forward.

I am proud of what we accomplished this season and look forward to next year already.

We have great leadership and work ethic, and a tremendous nucleus for next season.

We will add certain players and get rid of others in an effort to improve the roster.

We will get better. I am optimistic.

I love the Dallas Cowboys and I can't wait until next season.

This is totally the opposite of the way I felt when the season ended last year.

:star: :starspin :star:

But...........it ended in the same fashion. Moving forward, IMO, would've been for Dallas to make a game of it with Minny. 3 points and we're moving forward? FIVE sacks?

We are what we are. A direct reflection of an owner and his coaches.

I love a lot of the players on this team, but i do not love this team.. if you know what i mean.

They are just so fragile mentally, and despite the pregame hypefests from Brookings and others, i feel its just false bravado.

Placing this team in the hands of the same coaching staff does not give me the warm fuzzies.

Every season it seems another area must be attacked aggressively as we find a part of the team has been greatly exposed. This offseason it will be offensive line.

What is the identity of this group? Tough defense and ball control? Finesse offense? What is it that we are trying to build, i don't see the vision.. but who am i.

I don't know, the years roll on.
