One thing I don't want to hear on offense

I don't want to hear anyone on the offense saying “a lot of this offense looks the same as what we've been doing!" To me has much changed, they'll say it's different verbage, but it's familiar as last year. I think I'll throw up instantly if I hear this!

We need to get as far away as possible from anything that we've been doing, and get some new ideas and concepts in here!! Please give your thoughts
We need to see it on the field first, before anyone can comment on anything.
Even what we will see in any practice or PS games, we can't say for sure.

You know some will say it. But if you look at any teams offense, one can say the same thing. It still comes down to the players executing the plays.
If KC goes 6-11 this year. Their fans will be saying, hey it's the same offense they ran since Reid got here, time to change it up.

Nothing will ever change. Can you imagine if Dallas hired Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson would be pulling his hair out trying to make the same moves he is making in Chicago.
Jerry would be telling him this is what you have to work with. Get it done!
I think Jerry is listening to his new coaching staff, and they have some influence. As he tries to give them the groceries to cook with.
Now where do those groceries come from. Some will say they are shopping 1 day old items to fresh produce.
Other will say out back in the dumpster.

At least they are making an effort more so than last year, filling holes in the roster with a lot better possibilities than they have before. Also they are not bringing back every FA they have. The past 2 years they have let a lot of players walk in FA, that many do not think should be here anyway.

This players need to be replaced. And that is what they are doing. Then rely upon the draft for BPA and not need. Though they still do need a lot.

.....and whilst we undoubtably need to increase the run (even to free up the secondary), what an embarrassment for Jerry and Dak that your top end QB needs so much increased support....indeed he now needs EVERYTHING.
It's hilarious to read this take because the same people who has a problem with a quarterback needing talent around him, we're the same people who gave quarterbacks like Matthew Stafford excuses for playing in Detroit and given excuses about the team he played on....

Then the year Stafford played on a talented Rams team that had went all in to aquire talent all around that quarterback on both sides of the ball to reach the Superbowl.... that was the same season Stafford led the league in interceptions....

What has Stafford done since that talent around him left LA?

As a matter of fact, name me all the quarterbacks outside of Brady and Mahomes who have succeeded without talent around them..... this is a question that gets frequently avoided for some mysterious reason.

Maybe we can learn how to disguise a screen pass and Dak can learn how to throw it to the receiver's advantage
Yes, one of my biggest pet peeves. I don't think they had a successful screen pass since 2016, when Zeke took it for what, 86 yards for a TD.

On the flip side, the defense needs to learn how to defend a screen pass.

It just seems like they really haven't done much in FAs but being in or trade for a few players highly drafted that haven't turned out well. That seems like Jerry move thinking he can fix someone.

really good points jazz!!! I agree with the PS games and practice, I hate when they tell us what they're doing and how they're using them in different ways on the field, only for us not to see them until the second half of the season

loooooooooool right!! The WR screens are useless

The quarterback has limitations. You have to play within those limitations every coach that's come here, has found this out. It will be a very horizontal version of the WCO

Do they have a WR that can go horizontal. And I don't mean laying down on the field.

We have not had a true deep threat nor end zone threat since Dez. And he did both.

Y’all didn’t work this out yet? I thought you were going to have him at the ranch for a long weekend and become besties.

That aside, I’m no XO person, but wasn’t the major point of hiring Shoddy about familiarity for Prescott?

Unless I’m wrong I’d expect the offense to look very close to the same.
If he comes to my ranch, you'll never see him again....Hmmm...maybe, I should invite him to come over!

You do realize that Shotty was the OC, right? He may call plays differently. They may block a little differently, but the offense is not going to be anywhere near as new as the defense may be.
