I am quickly coming to the conclusion either Kellen Moore is in far over his head or being given directions about making sure the QB is the star.

Well, in either case, he can no longer call plays to feature the QB; he must now call them to protect him but that may also present opportunity in that the DC's are not expecting Rush to light it up.

One thing not in his corner is that DC's might sell out to stop the run and force the game into his hands.

However, Cooper Rush does have the two best friends a QB can have, a defense and a run game. Because he doesn't have an OL or WR corps, maybe not even as a passing acquaintance. And he needs Gallup back more than Prescott did.

One thing about it, folks, can't be much worse than that opener because some expectations were high and being the lowest scoring team of the opening weekend stings a little.

If Dak lit up the Bucs for 30 points and got hurt in a late win then Rush would be under a lot more pressure.

As it is, the offense can't look much worse than it did last night.

Challenge accepted!

Dak needs some competition. He looked beyond awful yesterday. By far his worst game as a pro. Let's see if the defense can carry us Bears/Ravens style

H-m-m -- now, that's like the ultimate in optimism . . . very hopeful, indeed.

Moore has already done this rodeo with Dalton and the Nooch two seasons ago. Expect the same.

...surely, this is The Rush Super Bowl run. I bet his agent is telling him, the gods are casting light upon you this very moment.

Do you sing?

Or do you bow out?

Do you pull a Nick Foles out of the hat?

the biggest question will be if his teammates will fold up on him or will support him and play hard. The culture in Dallas says they will lay down and want the season to be over. They will be a few guys who will still play hard, but will all of Rush's teammates?

I’m glad I went to Fanzone or I would have missed this thread .Koodos to Reality. His plan is working :)

Yea, without Dak Moore doesn’t have to try and make our QB look good .

Great point CC!!

There is NOTHING in Rushes corner buddy. Bad Oline, receivers hurting until Gallup gets back, Moore sucks.

Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue should Cooper Rush take Dallas to a 5-3 or better record while playing well the next 8 games Dak is out? The front office would look ignorant in having given Dak so much money only to watch a back-up QB elevate the team.

You guys are really living in virtual reality.

Go look at last year's game and tell me who are missing from Cooper Rush great performance? Now you expect Cooper Rush to do the same with less than that Dak had last week....this is Arlington Jonesboys virtual reality football. Take off the VR goggles.

I did not state I expected anything. Just trying to spin a little here as we circle the drain.

The defense wasn’t that great it bent but didn’t break. Once again we got gashed by the run and the only player we have that can get to the QB is Parsons. We kept Brady and company out of the end zone most of the night but the defense has a long way to go. As for our running game Zeke made a few plays but we had to abandon the run because we got behind and penalties kept putting us behind the chains. If we attempt to pound the ball all day on the ground we’ll never score enough points. Our defense will have to keep opponents under 20 points every week and that’s not going to happen. We need to make some plays down the field but we don’t have the receivers. We’re going to struggle to score points all season.
