That was the funniest thing ive read all day. thank you sir thats awesome.

And you can't even appreciate it in the way it was done...she BOLTED off the couch and started yelling "Hey, what the hell, he can't do that. Why is he allowed to do it if our guy can't?"

Funny stuff. I still pick on her about it to this day.

I like watching games because we're not lining up in the same basic 3-4 without blitzing or stunting. Whether the new defense works or not, I had more fun watching one half of a preseason game of the new 3-4 than the entire '06 season.

..is that I no longer have to see the camera on Bill Parcells' mug 421 times per game.

Aside from the fact that I just didn't like him...I always thought it was a problem that in a game that is a player's game, the biggest personality we had was the coach.

Romo certainly challenged that status toward the end of last year...and Owens did, for all the wrong reasons.

It's just nice to have the focus on the players.

I believe man boobs was just a very bitter and angry old fart. He wanted to push some of that angriness and bitterness at his players and coaches.

I agree that BP was an angry and bitter old man. I agree with those who said that his stern disciplinarian style was stifling the team. And I agree with anyone who says that BP put together a great team but could not coach it properly on gameday (of course I have said that he was a lousy gameday coach for the last 4 year).

I find it amazing that he ended up being known as the hardass no nonsense coach after what he did with the Giants. In the old days when he was winning Superbowls in NY he had the most lax discipline of any sideline around. His players goofed on each other and on him all the time. They used to pour Gatorade over his head after each victory (that was the genesis of the whole Gatorade ritual we still see today). No other coach in the NFL would have stood for that crap back then...You sure as hell never saw Landry get a Gatorade bath.

Never liked him, never will, glad he is gone...Oops...this isn't supposed to be a "Why I hate Bill Parcells" thread...My Bad :bang2:

BP did alot for this team... alot. I think he realized along with the rest of us that his style of 34 D requires a perfect storm of LB'ers that in this era of pro football is simply too difficult to recreate. Offenses are too gimmicky and match up oriented to just go out and slug like his Giants teams did.

Phillips however has morphed his 34 into a tempo dictating D which requires precise execution of opposing offenses to be successful, as the result can be absolute disaster for the opposition. With the size, speed, and talent the Cowboys have amassed on the defensive side of the football, I think you will see alot of confusion and alot of big plays going the other way.

I think Wade's our guy not just for this year, but perhaps several. I think he knows what he wants (pressure), how to get it(sacks), and can also adapt to obstacles that offenses put before him. He can be as boring as he wants to be as far as I'm concerned. His defense won't be.

The Cowboys are much more fun to watch now. I used to cringe so much so many times at some of the things BP would say or do and scratch my head wondering where the hell that one came from.

Somewhere Parcells is having as good a life as he will let himself have and in other places around the league, the coaches who deserted him are settling into their new homes.

These days Parcells is lounging around in bed until 4 or 5 AM. He doesn't claw the walls anymore.

Life is good again.

Oh no...the cameramen have opted to focus their lens on the Dallas Cowboys' Head Coach....the horror.

Over and above it all, the Cowboys are interesting to watch again. There's an unpredictability to them that just makes you want to start tailgating at 9:30 in the morning. :D

[Insert random anti-Parcells comment]

This is why [insert overdramatic feeling] I am glad [insert Parcells name calling] is gone. Our players are [insert "guess" as to what they are feeling] and going to do better as a result of [insert another random reason as if it it proves we are better]

Obligatory Man Boobs reference.

Obligatory overzealous record prediction in reference to Wade's magic wand fixing the team.

One more Parcells Name Calling comment. Perhaps sprinkle it with a "game has passes him by" or "Wade is destined to be better because he is a Texan and now a Dallas Cowboy, thus scientifically proving we are better off."

One more Man Boobs comment for the road.

I agree wholeheartedly, Juke. BP did some good things for us, but he was smothering the organization in many ways. On the NFLN broadcast today, they were saying that players on D were singing in the huddle as a show of solidarity. Bradie and Spears (Mdot is supposedly his nickname) were mentioned as leaders in all of this. Can you imagine guys trying to lead themselves if BP was still here? Granted, singing in the huddle might be a little corny, but if it makes the guys feel closer, I'm all for it. I like the camaraderie that has developed in BP's absence. That's not to knock The Tuna. I appreciate the good he did, but we needed a change. So far it has been fun to watch, but we'll see how things go when the games count.

Nice to see that the two worst players on our defense from last year can band together for 'solidarity.'
