Everybody is saying trade down this year. I say trade up. Give somebody in the top 5 This years and next years #1. And draft AJ Hawk. He would put this defense over the top. With all the talent on the team next years #1 might be pick number 32.

To go from 18 to 5 you will need to give up a lot...I wouldnt do that for a LB...QB Or RB yea, but not a LB...You can get a Good LB in the 2nd round....

I can see that working, but the downfall to this strategy is with no #1 pick next year, we can't draft a QB. Unless we pull a Tom Brady, and I don't see that happening.

A.J. Hawk isnt worth that much by a long shot. The only players I would do a trade like that for would be D'Brickshaw Ferguson or Mario Williams

I wouldn't do it for any of these players.

Ferguson is the best Tackle to come out in a LONG time, and Mario Williams is the next Julius Peppers, only faster.

You lost me when you said next years #1.

I know that most (including myself) think that this team is a condinder for the Super Bowl but we are 1 season ending hit on Bledsoe from being in the top 5 next year.

If Vince Young falls past 8, I would be burning up the phone lines if I were Jerry Jones.

Then trading away next year's first would be a wise investment.

The guy has something. That intangible that Montana had. That Staubach had.

The strength to lift up players around him and win.

That will translate to the NFL.

Vince Young is a bust waiting to happen. Not saying he wont be a good QB, but the risk/reward is just too high.

And comparing Radio to Montana and Staubach is an insult to the game of football.

The perfect off-season would involve us signing Vinny Testaverde to an 8 year, 40 billion dollar deal

I really live AJ, but no way I give up the draft picks to get him.

I wouldn't get "Star Fever" for this years draft, first two picks will probably be lineman. Not sexy picks, but lord knows we need them

A perfect rest of the offseason would consist of signing Tom Ashworth, Mike Venderjagt, and Marcus Coleman

I'm not too high on Young. I don't think he has the accuracy to make it. Forget the wonderlic score, because I don't think it matters that much. But he has shown that he can take over a game by himself.

drafting a QB is a Risk. this is the most risky position to draft in football, no matter who it is. QB is a position in which it takes a lot of time to progress, IMO the average 1st round QB in the draft wont be a good QB in the NFL until atleast 3 usally 4 or 5 (in the modern NFL as it moves much quicker). as for WR - year 3 is the big year. RB - anytime usually before or in year 3 as well. basically what im tryin to say is that you are never safe drafting a QB at anytime because QB regulates the game and the speed between the collegiate level and the proffesional level is so much more that it takes time to learn how to control it. and physically they are also still growing as the average man peaks in overall physical fitness at the age 26.

Damn!

If ole man TD3 is on the Vince Young band wagon then I know I'd better hop on.

Good to see you around again old friend and the word you used; (as usual) intangible, really defines and excludes Vince Young from the other (mobile, unintelligent, ,scrambling, athletic, dumb_____fill in the rest) qb's that have presented themselve to the NFL brass.

I dont know, maybe actually getting a better than mediocre player for the interior of the OL should be a priority. Nah, wait, what am I saying? Special team linebackers, loud mouth WR's and drunken kickers take top priority.

The Cowboys have done enough in FA. I am very happy with our signings. Kosier and Fabini help upgrade a struggling Oline and provide depth in case of injury. Adoyele is an instant starter at MLB and Vanderjagt ensures that we don't lose any game because of multiple missed FGs. Owens gives us the best WR in the game. The only signing that could make this a perfect offseason would be Stephen Neal if he signs a moderate contract. We need to address the OLB position in the draft. Arrington wants too much coin.
