One thing left to do for perfect off season:

A perfect rest of the offseason would consist of signing Tom Ashworth, Mike Venderjagt, and Marcus Coleman
Got one of them in Vanderxxx and we might still get Coleman before it is all over with. But Ashworth will want too much coin and with Fabini in here we don't have a big enough need at tackle to shell it out for him.

I am pretty happy with our off season (with one notable exception that I won't discuss). I think we have made some good moves this year in addressing some positions that need help. We have made a couple of moves with some little known guys that we will jsut have to wait and see on...but I will defer to the Jeff Ireland on these until I see for myself. I like the Fabini and Ayodele signing a lot.

We have also let some guys go that I would have liked to keep; a couple for sentimental reasons I admit. But some of the guys that are gone we will miss for what they brought to the team on the field. We'll just have to see how it goes.

Everybody is saying trade down this year. I say trade up. Give somebody in the top 5 This years and next years #1. And draft AJ Hawk. He would put this defense over the top. With all the talent on the team next years #1 might be pick number 32.

Okay so say we did do that. Then we would have a pretty solid looking defense, but in doing so we would almost assuredly crush my hopes and dreams of getting Brady Quinn....:(

And he is the man

Sir' we are not a team led by a little Danny pea brain .as is the Commanders.
Last Yr. FA was an A
Last Yr. Draft was an A
This YR> FA is 2/3 over and is an A
This Draft should be an A or B+

I wish Dallas would trade out of the first this year for a first next year and a 2nd this year. Two number 1s next year might land Quinn and we need a QB for the future.

Assuming we sign a kicker (Vanderjak) this FA, the only other moves I'd like to make would be to try and get Neal (Pats) in FA.

But it wouldn't surprise me if after the Draft we sign a guy like Sowell to share the load with Polite, or we pick up a DL who fits the scheme.

:hammer:

But I'd like to see Romo and/or Henson get some playing time this year (NOT because of injury) and see how they do before deciding on drafting a QB.

But if we don't get to see them, and we do have a chance to draft Quinn next year, I go ahead and draft him.
