One thing that almost everybody here seems to agree on

It really appears that Linehan is in complete control of the offense now. Well I should say Linehan and Romo. It appears that Garrett is out of the mix but maybe Romo has too much input.

I realize that they say it's Garrett playbook with Linehan calling the plays, but they said in the off-season that Linehan had added things to the playbook.

I'm under the impression that Garrett and Linehan have like minds when it comes to offense. They have worked together before and are most likely in agreement for most of what has been done with the offense. Garrett is obviously far more comfortable working with Linehan than he was with Callahan. Personally I think they have made huge strides with the offense and if left alone, it could evolve into an excellent unit. My biggest concern is the fact that Romo could be in a decline and may not be able to hang long enough to see it all to fruition.

It seems that almost everybody is in agreement that the Cowboys are not utilizing quick, short throws and the middle of the field properly.

It's rare to see so many people here in agreement on a subject.

I'm just wondering if everybody really does agree or if it's just my perception.

Second, without just complaining about it, is there a reasonable explanation that we're missing?
i would say i wouldnt agree. Witten and Murray seem to utilize that part of the field alot.

Which reminds me, of JJ's statement, making this offense Romo friendly.
The lie of the century. That's the salesman in him. He's said it more than once and did nothing to make that happen for 90% of Romo's career.

How that man can ruin a QBs career while putting his body on the line is nothing short or maniacal.

Hope he slept well.

I agree and we should've especially vs philly . Both their MLB's are backups . Sometimes I scratch my head with these NFL a coaches . The week before GB tore them up through the middle .
I think the Cowboys have some reason for avoiding these routes but I don't understand it. Green Bay kills opponents with the quick slant. I'm sure defenses know it's coming but they can't seem to stop it.

Cowboys opponents are using many quick throws which is part of the reason the defense is getting pressures but few sacks.
